Urgh.. just been actually sick again :(

Angela, ouch, sounds nasty - are you okay? (cut out the burnt bits? ;)) I really don't like being near naked flames (will only light candles with one of those long wand lighter things) so I've never done the candles-round-the-bath thing, although it looks very pretty.

Congrats to SallyCinnamon and welcome to baby Sophie :)

Hurrah, at long blooming last, I've managed to place a Next order and got a confirmation email too! Good job the first didn't work actually as I'd been ordered the wrong length trousers (L=31" and X=33", I usually wear long which everywhere else is usually a 34"!!). 14 pairs of trousers/jeans now heading my way! :D

I can sympathise candygirl as I'm really suffering too and I'm only 20 weeks today... I find milk before I head to bed can help as can normal antacids (I get Tesco's own). And sleeping with a few extra pillows behind you so your chest is higher than your belly...
I reacon that all the throwing up early on has caused my heartburn to start a lot earlier than normal because I don't think it should be THIS bad at 20 weeks??
well that and stress from work... hohum...
Has to be said though that at times I have to resort to the gaviscon to settle things - icky as it is :( Tell her to have something straight afterwards... something that compliments the tastes but takes the yuck part away... I have a mint chocolate just to take the taste away...

Jvic - I didn't think they'd do a scan to be honest... but shame they didn't get a doppler thingy machine out and see if they could catch the heartbeat just to put your mind at ease...
If it makes you feel any better I still get panicky moments if Bean has been quiet (seems to be a late sleeper like daddy... hrmph!) and I'm now 20 weeks and once you start feeling regular movement you still worry if they are quiet so I guess it's just 40 weeks of worry LOL

    Hi ladies

Sorry if I've missed a previous reference to this. Haven't had chance to catch up on all the pages i've missed.

For those of you petite pregnant girls the Next sale has LOADS of stuff at 1/2 price in sizes 6 & 8. (I'm v jealous as I want one of everything!)

Just thought I'd let you know as I'm trying to stock up. Don't want to feel like a bag lady for teh next six months and am at that awkward normal-trousers-don't-fit-but-neither-do-maternity-ones stage!

    HTH!

Forgot to say, anyone got a Jojo code that will work in the sale? Am about to spend loads with them too! I've asked on the discount forum, but thought here would be a good place to try too.

  • Candygirl-Gaviscon tablets i find a lot better/easier than the liquid (mainly cos of the aniseed sperm comment on here which makes the liquid a lot harder to swallow.)

Tine, I don't think the morning sickness makes a difference on the heartburn front... Mines so bad it's waking me up in the night now! (And waking up with dried on rennie stuck to the tongue does nothing for early nausea!)

Rescued my pram body from Mum's garage today, DH hasn't seen it so we got it out just to look at, just in time too I think, 1 of the straps had a little fur on it... Managed to strip all the fabric off and stick it in the washing machine so it's all drying on the radiators at the minute... Mum wanted us to take the wheels too but don't want to be falling over them for the next 4 1/2 months... At least I can stick the carrycot on top of the wardrobe when it's done.... If I can remember how to popper it all back together of course!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
