well been a bit of a strange day here today, its my nephews anniversary and i have been feeling really lost and trying to hold it all in? he was around the age Charlie is now when he died 2 years ago and i think its made it a bit harder for me to deal with, OH doesnt like to talk about it. i went up with some flowers to the cemetry getting myself in an awful state and had to come home. Charlie is ill also with a bad cough and temp so feel like im worrying 100% more esp today, he has slept most of the day and i just want to head for bed and get today over with? sorry for being so down but i just needed to get it out as i can feel myself welling up again x

    hello ladies,

cazscoob - so sorry to hear of the anniversary of the loss of your nephew. lots of things i would like to say, but none of which sounds right. thinking of you.

jvic28 - shame you didn't get a scan, but listen to what the doc said and start to take things easy for a bit.

a question --- does anyone know of any brands of orange juice that are high in calcium??? my baby centre email has said i am now at the stage where bubs will be taking loads of calcuim from me. now i am not a dairy food eater in any way shape or form and like the idea of the orange juice. had a look at morrisons but couldn't find any. i will force myself to eat yoghurt at a push, and maybe toasted cheese, but am interested in the high calcium orange juice.

quite emotional at the moment for many reasons, but bubs is giving me lots of movement and has got himself in a spot where i am constantly going to the loo.

Caz - *hugs* Can you chill out in a nice bubble bath then get to bed?

AF - Tropicana do one, http://tropicana.co.uk/juices/essentials_calcium

I've felt horrid all day. Threw up twice then just felt like it for the rest of the day. Haven't got dressed again. Fought sleep for as long as I could but I've just woken up and I think I've been asleep for about four hours so I'm back to feeling crappy again.. :( Don't wanna go to work tomorrow.

    Its oh so quiet.

Jvic I really hope everything is okay. I havent had bleeding, but that doesnt stop me checking every time i go to the loo.

I'm buying a doppler this week so i can listen to Beanies heartbeat and hope that will put my mind at rest between scans and MW appointments.

I spent xmas at the family pub where two of our dogs have given birth just before xmas. 1 had 5 pups and the other 3. My mum has bred chihuahuas for years but this time, the sight of those helpless squeaking teeny weeny babies sent my maternal instincts into overdrive. I spent most of xmas with the two mummies hand feeding them and making sure they were comfortable. Hope my OH took the hint!!!

  • Just checking in ladies - (((HUGS))) to Caz and AF.

I'm at the physio tomorrow morning to see what they think about my grating pelvis  Will prob just get a support belt which I am sure will be oh so attractive - it may well put a stop to the *ahem* exercise that causes me agony!

MrsT - sounds like you need to move up to gaviscon, the tescos stuff doesn't seem to be doing you any good. You'll feel better when you do.

Got my parents, bro and SIL and 3 nephews tomorrow so another mad day chez MFD.

    Mooki!!! 5 dogs!!! :A

Sami - hope your dad makes it home tomorrow.

I'm sure I'm just here and moaning more often than others so it seems like it! ;) We live on the route between the hospital and work, so for tomorrow's scan we're going to the hospital in jeans then will call back in home to get changed into work gear. If I don't feel upto it, I just won't go in. With me actually being sick for a change, I started panicking I was coming down with a sickness bug instead but now it's just back to nausea after a nap I'm assuming it's preg-related.

MFD I know I know :) ... Gaviscon - blah!!!! Dh said the same thing tonight and even threatened to remove all tesco tablets from the house at least until I try gaviscon for a few days. So will take some before I go to bed tonight... Bah humbug! And see how I get on tomorrow with that instead of my tesco tabs...

elle make sure you keep drinking loads of water if the sickness has gotten worse, even if you can't keep food down for a few days it's not the end of the world (tho I found it can make you feel better to keep trying to eat, even just a mouthful! and ironically raw carrots helped too maybe because when you are violently sick you often tend to get carrot looking stuff and I could at least fool myself into believing it was the carrot I'd eaten earlier ;) sometimes keeping a positive mind made all the difference...)
Ultimately the only thing for me that really made a HUGE difference was medication but small things did help function and the meds didn't stop the nausea, just the vomiting :)
