Ironically, the more I eat the better I feel. I had a glass of milk, was sick, had a Cadbury's Brunch bar, was sick and straight after I wolfed down two slices of dry white toast (OH came home from work at just the right time!) and have had another two slices plus some Jaffa Cakes (fruit!) and homemade sausage rolls, plus orange squash.
I just feel a bit iffy today as before I could reassure myself even though I *felt* sick I wouldn't actually *be* sick but now that's gone out the window.. hence the feeling sorry for myself and whinging. Sorry everyone!0 -
I hate it too MrsT - I have bought the little tablet ones which at least don't have the sperm-like texture (I will never forgive whoever gave me that image...if I ever remember who it was :rotfl: )
Anyway, the tablets are still gross but they really do the trick so I had to give in...I bought some more tablet in a pretty pink packet today in the hopes that they might taste a bit nicer.
My friends baby is on baby-gaviscon, bless her. After starting life on that everything has got to taste nice!
Night all, take care.

I find I get used to gaviscon pretty quickly, doesn't bother me now I've been taking it for a couple of weeks, I have a little bottle of tesco's aniseed in the bedside cabinet and a giant gaviscon one downstairs on prescription. I was given mint flavour gav, its a bit like eating/drinking runny toothpaste but works so quickly and well I don't care
I think it says take 2 spoons but I only have one then another if I need but usually 1 is fine
AF: broccoli is good for calcuim or you can get fortified bread info here
Good news! MY DADDY IS HOME!!! surprised us as we assumed he wouldn't be let out on a weekend, I took him some of my left over lamb stew and he said it was smashingthen after a 10 min nap (awww) had some of mum's trifle, I reckon we'll get him fattened up pretty quickly! He won' be back at work until he's had a clear chest x-ray which he's going back for in 6 weeks, not good for their finances as he only gets SSP but all the family have offered to help out (thank god for savvy saving relatives!) I do worry about him going back to work coz his job is fixing/installing barriers on the roads so its physical and outdoors but now is not the time for finding a new job esp when your 52
I hit the sales this morning just went out of town to M&S, Boots and Next I got Chris the basics of a whole new wardrobe as he's just moving up a size it was very handy, also got bump a little outfit from next there was another summer one but was "up to 3mths" which for Chris was actually more like 6mths so didn't get it as it was a linen summery dungaree set (dungees as we call them are the cutest things ever!!) so if bump is a titch like him they wouldn't get worn. Got him a lush parker for next year in boots and a duffle coat for now too which mum is gonna buy off me as his b-day present. I also got him a fifi tea set (he's in touch with his feminine side) 1/2 price for his b-day so his pres from us is sorted yey :j Didn't bother looking in the grown up bit of next coz i was too tired by then! Might have a peek on line but doubt I'll get anything now seeing as I'm a "common size 12" now, oh how i miss being a skinny 8 :rotfl:
speaking of which if you remember I said I seemed to be getting thinner on my hips, arms, legs but bigger on tummy and boobs, well I weighed myself and if scales are right i've lost 5lbs not sure how tho!
Well mahoosive post so best shut up now!!0 -

I blame Sami
Do you just swallow the tablets or are they the type you have to hold in your mouth while the dissolve so they still do that coating thing? *shudder*

MFD xxxtwas me who called it sperm, sorry
I think the mint one is better if you not a fan of the aniseed as I said its a bit like swallowing toothpaste and makes your mouth minty fresh
maybe if you ask nicely when you take a script in they will make sure you get the mint one, I think when I need another I'll go to asda pharmacy nr my mums coz the pharmacist there seems to fancy me  so I'll ask him for mint and should get it :rotfl: (hmm anyone know if pharmacists make good money? maybe I missed a trick there - he isn't bad looking
)

Haven't got a clue what flavour my tablets are - I half hold them in my mouth for a while and then quickly chew them and swallow sharpish, which some to think about it is not actually that unlike...:o
Def logging off in a min - looking for a new bed for DSS and they are blooming expensive! We have decided on a bunk with a double futon underneath but there don't seem to be any of them in the sales.
When DH took him to bed last weekend DSS was telling DH a story about when Bubba is 3 and DSS is 12 and they will be the best of buddies and share a bedroom and Bubba will wake DSS in the night asking for a drink of milk but DSS will make Bubba come and ask me first... He's got it all planned out, bless him :A

MFD: If you want a metal one why not get it off ebay as you can give it a good scrub
do you have any little independent shops around? there's one near us that can get you any argos furniture for much cheaper as he gets direct from wholesale or where ever they come from
I think Tums tablets are like swizzle's double lollies (is that just me?)0 -
Morning all,
Back to work today for two days but then off until Monday.
I have my 20 week scan today so hope the twins are both doing ok. Got a check up straight after in a different part of the hospital and never sure what they are for until I arrive for them.
I am feeling quite a lot of movement now and my right breast leaked again last night, prob mainly to the pressure as I read in bed on that side but I resorted to buying breast pads yesterday!
I have now joined Tamba and the advice is beginning to filter through from there from other mums and dads of mulitple births. Still on the lookout for a tandem pram - the Tamba membership gives a list of loads but I want to try before I buy and it is the non-existant trying (ie non in the shops to try) that is really frustrating!
Time is certainly flying!Proud mother of twin boys - double the trouble and twice the pleasure! :T0
