Off all day yesterday and no broadband this morning. The freephone number isn't working and the instructions for changing the username don't work either so not very happy at the moment.
I think you should be using the logon username

    username@e7broadband.com

It may take quite a number of attempts for it to connect but keep trying it

To clear any *stale sessions* you could use the BT test logon

    bt_test@startup_domain

then go to the only viewable page at http://www.bt.net/digitaldemo

    Then re-try username@e7broadband.com

It may still take several attempts because it seems to be up and down even for those already connected.

PS you were previously on username@e7even.com i take it?

My brodband is down all day. I tried phoning their so called customer service and after waiting an hour and a quarter I hung up. I do not know what to do but thankfully I have only to put up with this until 22 March. I do not know who I will change to but anything would be better than this.

Anyone any suggestions on how I can get broadband going again or who I should change to and should I just cut my losses and run now?

LMAO oooo no!!! Not being complacent nor bragging, just merely stunned!! icon12.gif

I'm still operating from the bbuk addy, so am guessing if they're migrating back to E7even addys that there will be trouble ahead!!

  • Trouble was indeed ahead...
In my last post I stated that I had gone back to my original username@e7even.com login and it worked........until yesterday. I thought they had finally migrated me to the bbuk. Not so, that didn't work either!
In terms of compensation I would consider it an insult if they extended my subscription period (more of the same treatment?) - give me a refund and MAC and let me go.

Before offering options, which logon are you using that works (sometimes) ?

    is it

    username@e7broadband.com

    or

    username-e7even@bbuk

Well bbuk is far from perfect and they have said they would migrate people to other e7 realms if they cant sort it.

The problem is that since the most recent changes e7broadand.com realm is now also giving problems. So it looks like e7 have put themselves into a Catch-22 type situation :)

If you were using username@e7even.com then you should now be using username@e7broadband.com

That realm is not working perectly however and you may have to make a number of attempts before you can connect.

It might help if you cleared any *stale sessions* by connecting to the BT test logon bt_test@startup_domain then go to the only viewable page at http://www.bt.net/digitaldemo

    Then retry your username@e7broadband.com

even then it may be difficult to connect!

If you have been transferred from username@e7even.com to username@e7broadband.com and find that it just wont connect

Well it may be worth trying your old username@e7even.com

over here this guy says hes back on e7even !!

Like he said "whats going on?" :)
  • I bought 12months adsl subscription and support for my father, who lives 3 hours away from me, and I volunteered to set up his e7even connection.
It worked for four days, and now for the last two days there has been no connection.
Trying to obtain technical support during setup was impossible, and took me three visits. e7even don't answer phones, replies to emails/telephone messages takes about a week. What sort of service is this - reading all the threads here, it appears I am not alone in complaining about them.
I think we ought to complain to both Otelo and OFCOM, and get these guys either sorted, or put out of business!!
In the meantime register your protest about them at every opportunity!
