Sad ending, but Breezerockz you made it as comfortable & safe & warm as any non medical person could have done.
In fact you did more than 99% of people would.
I too am a bit disappointed with vets. After a bad experience with our recently passed away cat Ted, we put our new kitten in for neutering. DH picked her up, paid the £105 bill, luckily I asked to see the receipt, it should only have been £85!!!!!
They don't miss a moment to squeeze a bit extra out of you at my vets.

Just wanted to say, i've just watched the latest animal 24:7 & a Roe deer was found there & taken into care right off, had medical attention, drips etc & didn't survive. So I bet even if you'd been able to get a wildlife rescue it probably wouldn't have survived. Shame the Vets didn't put it down! Well done to you for making it's last hours comfortable & caring for it x
  • i have just found this post what a lovely person you are!!! im so sad to hear the deer passed away atleast he had you give him the best last hours he could have had :D

Sorry to hear it breeze... I didn't think it would make it but I'm glad that at least it didn't pass away in the wet and cold next to a road which would have been horrible and scary. At least it was somewhere quiet and warm and got every chance you could give it.

    Blessed be little deer.
