chameleon: deer in no state whatsoever to injure self more if given pain killers, i dont like seeing things suffer, i know exactly what you are saying with regard to this, and you are RIGHT,and if i had thought about it i would have pointed out that wildlife is usually left without pain killers because they could injure themselves more with them,if able to move.
but also point out that they would have left it at side of road had they found it, and done nothing, yes, she admitted that, im not being rude or funny by the way, lol.and also, giving it any drugs could have a bad effect on it anyway, but if it was to die of shock etc last night id rather it had done so def pain free, anyway, has lived to fight another day, poor thing must have injuries inside, its not doing more than wobbling round, but is on feet.i always think before slating vets lol.(they are ment to be more qualified, but are they are only human,)
shouldnt get shot, but cant say that shooters wont, they in neighbours field shooting the pheasant, we have a walled garden, so if it survives, and is calm, it can graze etc, wildlife centre said to let it out here, but i am still going to get intouch with other places,
yes mutter, lol, you put it in red so i could find no easier when i need it,lol.thanks, will phone them if deer lives,
will keep you all up to date anyway, think its lucky it seems to be a younger deer, also it doesnt have prongs ( just buds) and was in no state to bit or kick, is very calm, must be in pain, sniffed my hand when i put food in door,
will contiue to keep it in shed to recover, have given it some food just in case, and has a huge hay bed, and had advise from rescue centre. now i need to let it have warm dark quiet, and fingers crossed.
thanks again for all replies, and kind words,THANKS to everyone who posts competitions. you are all :A.0 -

tis not going anywhere until it is an able bodied deer, am going to rescue centre on monday,to ask them what they think, if deer still alive, wouldnt travel with it anywhere at monent as needs rest, and anymore stress etc could kill it,, but dont worry, wont let anything bad happen to it,
we have rescued pigeons in shed, and we are soo daft we ended up instead of just fostering 5 feral cats, they now live in the house,. will try and do the right thing for this beautiful animal.THANKS to everyone who posts competitions. you are all :A.0 -

your very kind to say that, thankyou,
i have just checked on deer, unfortunately i have found that at some point where it has been down theres a larger puddle of blood,
and it it panting a bit tonight, have put blanket over it to help keep warm, and left it alone, still has some blood from back and and has, been straining,
i have phoned other wildlife rescues, and am doing all that can be done,
i can only wander, but what is it is a she, and was pregnant? i know they have fawns in early spring, will be phoning deer rescue in the morning, although if deer is struggling it will be the vet, they did say if anyyworse etc, take it in , but theres no way that i will pick it up again, incase i hurt it,
awful being able to do nothing. at least its inside shed, its freezing outside.THANKS to everyone who posts competitions. you are all :A.0 -
