    We too had an exdisplay MFI kitchen from the first round of closues. Managed to get everything we needed from Howdens to complete it. Just got to get the money back that we had paid to MFI for the same parts"! It was the 'Toscana'.

    I was just wondering whether anyone has the built in dishwasher - Diplomat ACA9202. We have no instruction book and I would really appreciate it if anyone could copy theirs (i'll pay all costs etc).
    Thanks a lot!
  • I spoke to Black Horse Finance yesterday and they say that my contract is still live and were unwilling to help until I mentioned Section 75. I am still missing doors and handles from my MFI kitchen. I told them that when I am due to start paying in August I will not be as my kitchen is not complete and is not fit for the purpose of which I bought it for and under section 75 they are part responsible.

    They then said that I am to write to them and list the missing parts and they will try and contact the administarators and see if they can source them, "Good Luck" I said as I have already done this and all they said was that they would contact me in due course and refund me the missing parts.

    What good is this if my kitchen is incomplete.

    I will fight this all the way and am determined not to pay a penny until my kitchen is complete.

    Thanks for that. I didn't mention section 75 when I spoke to them but may try your advice and write to them re missing parts and say I hold them part responsible. I have emailed blackhorse enquiries @mfi and not had any reply from them.

    I'm in the same situation as several people in looking for MFI home office furniture. Specifically, I'm looking for a "Melbury" 2 door cupboard. If anyone can assist with where this might be available, I'd be very grateful.

  • I guess I'm in the same boat as some of you guys. I ordered a kitchen from MFI in Sept 2008, most of the components now delivered, and still awaiting two items. I'm on a buy now pay a year later scheme (financed by Blackhorse). Due to the missing parts, I'm yet to instal the kitchen. I have a few questions;

    - How easy is it to send the items already delivered, and request for refund of deposit (< £300), and cancel finance contact with Blackhorse.

    - How do I go about obtaining items yet to be delivered;

    Diplomat (elite) 60 cm S/S 4 Burner Gas Hob (code ABA1140)
    Padova 600 Built Under Oven Fascia (code NFKPA60)

    Thanks folks.
  • Have just checked my A & L bank balance and they have credited my account with the £500 i paid as a deposit to MFI in October. Waiting to hear from Cap One and Barclays now. Let me know i you getting anywhere

    I have received most of my order for bedroom furniture. Two 90cm Bridging cabinets are still not delivered. Have looked at the article about Section 75. Rang MBNA today, who said they don't send out claim forms. I am filling in the downloadable letter template. They were not very helpful. Said 'we will look at your claim when we receive it' Why are some card companies paying up in full and others not doing so?
  • Has anyone else had problems claiming from Tesco Credit Card? They have been a nightmare with me, sent them a claim a month ago, and they haven't even reviewed it yet, and I get a different story everytime I call them... Would really like an answer now, all they say is we've got loads of MFI claims, and can't tell me when they'll get to it...

    Has anyone actually had a S75 refund from them yet???

    Thanks
  • I got through to the MFI/administrators helpline today to see what I needed to do to get a refund for my part-complete kitchen. Despite what is showing on the website, they are apparently now very hopeful that incomplete orders will be completed after some last minute haggling with the suppliers. They said to keep an eye on the website this week and to call next Monday if there was no change.

    Would rather get my money back off Amex tbh, rather than wait for more broken promises from MFI :-(
    Sending my claim form in tomorrow and will see what happens
