  • Hi..I sent an email to my credit card company mentioned the section 75 and said they were jointly responsible and I wanted a refund straight away for non delivery. They sent this reply today:

Thank you for your recent communication.

We are currently having to wait until the end of December as the administrators for MFI are trying to refund the customers.

If there has been no refund we will look to investigate the matter in January.

Mark Two can be contacted on 01204 360820 however they are no longer trading with MFI.They have no relevant details about kitchens and bedrooms but might be able to help with bathrooms. At least they answer the phone!!.
  • Don't know what to do with the kitchen i bought from MFI after they went into administration the first time round.
I purchased an ex-display kitchen after much thought and question asking with the staff at the Blackburn store, which closed when in admin first time round, and bought the kitchen after seeking their advice.
Well as it happens, i needed to make the kitchen display fit my kitchen and was told i could get parts from the stores which were still open at the time and now with MFI going back into admin i now cannot get these parts, so in a way i'm stuck with a kitchen which i cannot make fit.
Any ideas??? Tried looking for the company who make that style of kitchen but no luck.
Anything i can do because it was paid for on a credit card?

    Yours hoping

    Craig

    Which kitchen is it?
  • new message up on the website: seems they've finally pulled the plug
  • OK so now the fun starts!
Wait and see how much of a PARTIAL refund they are going to suggest to me. I have only the mirror panels for a sliding wardrobe missing but if I can't complete the room I don't want the rest of the furniture.
Am I legally entitled to reject the whole bedroom order if they can't complete the last part and demand a full refund from the cc or Black Horse?(deposit paid cc rest funded by Black Horse)
Also where do we stand if we have started fitting some of it? It would have to be ripped out to be returned or won't they bother with collections?
  • Glowboy is right about Howdens - they often sell identical kitchen units to MFI so worth a try if you need to complete a kitchen, though I believe they only deal with "trade" customers, which is about as unhelpful as it is possible to be.

I know this because I had six months of misery with the useless MFI, long before the collapse, trying to obtain from them the last few pieces of a £4k kitchen. In the end the exasperated salesperson gave up on their broken system and ordered the pieces from Howdens direct, charging it to the store's own account. I'm sorry that lovely lady has lost her job, but I'm sure she can find a better one than working for those jokers. Good riddance to them

Same position as you but for a kitchen. I am so fed up with all this. Do we claim for partial and have an incomplete kitchen forever or claim for the whole lot and let them rip it out?
I am struggling to get Barclaycard to send me a claim form? Called 4 times today with no joy. Told to register online and print my own one off. Can't find it on their site nor can the guy I am speaking to!
  • So how does this sound? Bought my kitchen on buy now, pay later with MFI backed in with Black Horse Finance. I have received all my kitchen, but am missing 3 x appliances - fat chance of ever seeing those now. I have written to Black Horse twice, and also phoned them to find out where I stand re a refund on the missing items.

When I spoke to them, they couldn't find my agreement, or me on the computer - Urgh - what do I do now - let sleeping dogs lie or stir it all up with then and insist they find me so they can take money from me ???
  • where is the form that they say we need to fill in ?? i carnt find it on either site !!
    please help
