TOLD THEM I DIDNT WANT IT AS THEY COULDNT FULLFIL THE ORDER, IM NOW WAITING TO SEE IF I CAN HAVE A CASH REFUND .MY ORDER WAS DUE TO BE DELIVERED THIS SATURDAY.schreiber_kitchen wrote: »Hi All.
Does anyone have any telephone number or a contact person regarding SCHREIBER KITCHENS from MFI. I am trying to check which warehouse my kitchen might be at, if it is there at all.
Would be great if someone could help.
Thank you very much0 -
I WOULD LOVE TO BE ABLE TO GO TO HOWDENS OR ANYWHERE FOR A NEW KITCHEN , BUT UNTILL THEY GIVE ME MY £2700 CASH BACK I CARNT .pumpkinsqueak wrote: »Its really quite a situation MFI have left most of us in, but there is a glimmer on the horizon, well for us anyway, which was Howdens.
Quick lowdown on situation - Bought new and first home in October. Ordered bathroom, bedroom furniture and kitchen from MFI. Bathroom arrived fine.
Bedroom furniture (Manilla Walnut range) then bought for a third of the price on day after MFI went into administration - bed, £600 mattress, 2 bedside tables, tall chest of drawers, large tv unit and mirror for £400 all in - just happened to be passing at the right time and was purely luck:j
Kitchen due for delivery on 6 Dec - obviously no show and credit card have opened up a dispute on this.
Telephone call to local Howdens and 3 days later entire exact kitchen delivered to new home, stronger carcasses and units fully built.:A
We are one day away from the installation being completed and Im delighted with Howdens service.:T
Their ranges are the same, if not very similar , to MFI ranges
Suggest people head down there sharpish - they may well be able to fulfil missing pieces before Christmas - its certainly worth a try

Yeah, I can't get through either..just end up listening to an annoying message (trains, horns, etc - I guess to put you off of hanging on the phone). I've got no letter either.
I need to know whether or not I'm going to get my item. I too would like to know if it's in a warehouse somewhere so I can arrange to collect it myself. Anyone have any warehouse numbers?
Thanks0 -
I have the same dilema. I have asked them to provide me with the completed MFI certificate of completion, which I have and is blankI bought my kitchen in May under the pay nothing till next year at 0% over 3 years.
I received a letter yesterday from the administrators kroll advising me that blcak horse will not finance this . I have been given 3 options . Pay in full and receive 10% off. Get a loan or credit card and pay it or go through black horse at there rate.
Problems i have are.
All options in the long run are going to cost me more money, i only bought with them because of the deal of 0%. I only bought my new house in may and my partner has just had another baby. So money is tight.
Also there are defects to the kitchen appliances , the oven doesnt work propperly , dishwasher leaks and the extractor fan still has no charcoal filters. Rendering it useless. Who do i go to for replacment or to be fixed ?
Any help or advice would be appreciated. Also i do feel sorry for the mfi staff who have lost there jobs and hope they find somthing quickly0 -
I am waiting on a couple of replacement parts to my kitchen due in early Jan 09. The manager ordered these a couple of days before they went into administration and I haven't got any paperwork to confirm that I am due these items...
Is anyone else in this same situation? I don't think anything will ever arrive, so will the cc company refund? Obviously tried contacting the administrators with just a bog standard email reply.0 -

Yes im in that situation. I am missing one part now, but was originally missing all the white goods, worktops. They didnt give me a refund either as i had to go out and buy all the things i was missing. They originally told me that i would get the remainder on 18th December - fat chance of that as no one is delivering for them. Im still waiting to hear from them but im already trying to get my money back as ive spent an additional £3,000 getting the kitchen put back so in effect ive paid for my kitchen twice!!!0
