I have just looked at my invoice and seem to have some sort of cover, but don't know exactly what it covers.
I remember a discussion with the salesperson about insurance cover for my furniture and not being sure whether to take it so the salesperson added it for free.
I have an insurance schedule stating the items on my invoice are covered to 2011.
My question would be - does it cover non-delivery, they can't come to see if the furniture is faulty as it hasn't been delivered and they state they will cover the cost of replacement up to the original purchase price.
Anyone got any information, thoughts or ideas on this as I thought it may be another way out for those who paid cash, with a debit card or cheque if they have this insurance?

I have insurance with AIG but it only covers you for accidental damage or faulty materials or workmanship, not for non delivery of items puchased0 -

Im so annoyed ive tried the MFI phone line for 2 weeks, sent a letter and an email to see whats happening. Its even more annoying that the HSBC call centre that is handling my refund is in India, i cant understand what shes talking about as she seems to be following a script and cant answer my questions. Im giving them til next week then the Financial Ombudsman is sending the letter!

HI i am in the same position as the rest of you and I'm very much in the dark about what to do regarding it.
I placed an order for a kitchen back in August, the kitchen cost nearly £6000.00 so i had to pay a deposit of 596.00 on my lloyds tsb credit card.
Although we have the kitchen fitted we have never received our two clad on end panels which should have been delivered on the 6th December. It is in the Kennington range.
Where do I stand with getting any money back?
Since it looks very unlikely that these panels will ever turn up the kitchen is incomplete and we will be hard pressed to match the panels.
Can I make a claim for the whole amount paid for on the credit card since this was a deposit and not for single items such as panels? How do I do this?
Also where do we stand with finance agreements from Black Horse?
I'm worried they will ask for all the money up front which would be impossible.
Any help out there would be mvery much appreciated0 -
My MFI kitchen was finally completely installed towards the end of May this year, but here we are just 6 months later and we have a problem where the work tops angles join; one side is proud of the other. We paid MFI direct for the fitting and the fitter separately for the tiling and electrical work. Any idea who I contact in this instance. I know it should be MFI as they employed the fitter, however, as they are now in administration how can I sort this problem.
Any info would be very helpful.
Many thanks

Does anyone now have unwanted bedroom furniture they would be willing to part with at all perhaps? Happy to negotiate price if so...Desperate as MFI were the place dealing with 90cm / 900mm units.
I'm seeking the following - or similar if anyone can assist please...
2x Mid height sized double length 90cm wardrobes
1x extra pair of (90cm) double length rails
1x extra pair of (90cm) double length shelf packs
1x double (90cm) 4 drawer unit - with block feet ideally
1x single (45cm) 4 drawer unit - with block feet ideally
Ideally Schreiber Manilla Walnut style bedroom range - but will consider others if anyone can kindly assist.
If so, or only have some of the above items on offer....please kindly send me a personal message.
Thanks in advance.Beware Lego Men with Deep pockets...! :cool:0 -

The original fitter is responsible for your worktop joints for one year from
being fitted but if he hasnt been paid he wont want to do the remedial
contact him and see if you cant come to an agreement.
Best of luck.0 -
