I had a chat with him and he said it will be about a week or so to get up and running sounds a nice bloke.

I am/was due a delivery today but not sure if it's worth me staying in all day for? It was two sets of drawers.

Its really quite a situation MFI have left most of us in, but there is a glimmer on the horizon, well for us anyway, which was Howdens.

Quick lowdown on situation - Bought new and first home in October. Ordered bathroom, bedroom furniture and kitchen from MFI. Bathroom arrived fine.

Bedroom furniture (Manilla Walnut range) then bought for a third of the price on day after MFI went into administration - bed, £600 mattress, 2 bedside tables, tall chest of drawers, large tv unit and mirror for £400 all in - just happened to be passing at the right time and was purely luck:j

Kitchen due for delivery on 6 Dec - obviously no show and credit card have opened up a dispute on this.

Telephone call to local Howdens and 3 days later entire exact kitchen delivered to new home, stronger carcasses and units fully built.:A

We are one day away from the installation being completed and Im delighted with Howdens service.:T

Their ranges are the same, if not very similar , to MFI ranges

Suggest people head down there sharpish - they may well be able to fulfil missing pieces before Christmas - its certainly worth a try

I am so angry!!! Did anyone see the advertisement for the MFI sale on TV last night? How many thousands of pounds of our money did that cost!!!!? No wonder there will be nothing left in the post for us customers. Again nothing new from the administrators everything is about Woolworths. At least Deloittes seem to be doing their job!:mad::mad::mad:

I didnt see the advert - what sale are they referring to?

Most of the showrooms have nothing really left in them, well the 3 I have been to are more or less empty now?

I seen it and thought exactly same as you! What stock are they selling off? They didn't mention ex-display! Is it stock from the warehouses? If so it should be us that gets first refusal. This can't be right can it?

Thank you for your good luck message, but i've already got the rest that i needed, i had to buy a complete ex-display from our local store just to get a wardrobe, plinth and a few other odds and sods. But it was a lot cheaper than their book price. At least i can get my bedroom finished now!

give swanse store a ring 0n 01792 798617 if they have any i will pick them up for you and send them off in the post,as for the clad end let me know what spare you have and if i any unit over doors i will let you know.Also check the other mfi stores in the uk.Go on to http://www.saynoto0870.com/search.php put in MFI and all the store numbers come up and not the 0870 numbers best of luck
