My cooker was due to be delivered on the 25th Nov but got a phone call the day before to say that the delivery drivers were on strike!!! I am not covered by the dates on the official statement and my cc company say that MFI are still hoping to supply orders. Can I now safely order a cooker elsewhere as I need it to get my kitchen fitted.0

I have been to Homebase, after contacting cc, (paid by visa delta and 2 diff credit cards!) cap one were really helpful, barclays not too bad, have not contacted a and l as mcr won't commit either way to refund thanks a lot!, should've received kitchen sat 29th nov - my son is going into hosp on 12th December for complex surgery and we have old kitchen half ripped out, bare plaster etc as was getting organised round delivery date. I will just have to refuse del now if it turns up, although did have 2 dates anyway. As far as i am concerned they have broken their contract, i have copy of original invoice with 29.11 del date and copy of mcr statement re: no deliveries no chance blah blah blah between 26 nov and 7th dec. will have to fight if they try delivering it....flipping heck, why can't life be simple?0

Hi,
I am a member of staff at the branch that has contact with the Kuchen Lab kitchens before they are (should have been) delivered. I am willing to check with the delivery team if it going ahead, if you PM me (at the top left) your surname and postcode, then I will PM back (don't put on the forum as it isn't very secure). Please be patient though, as I am also trying to find another job at the same time!
Please don't ask me about any Hygena and Schreiber Kitchens/Bedrooms, Bathrooms, office, living/working furniture, refunds or parts as I know as much as you do!

My mother had a kitchen fitted in February by MFI. She paid fitters direct but units etc were to be financed thru Black Horse on a 0% deal.
The kitchen is still not finished, items were ordered/re-ordered/not arrived and fitters did not come back to effect repairs/finish it off. The sink has a leak underneath it and she cant use the water from the kitchen tap because it has a metallic taste.
Apart from an initial letter "Welcome" from Black Horse in Feb, theres been nothing since, ie NO payment demands or anything. My mother had been trying to sort this out over the last few months, but was told her details "were not in the system"
MFI don't even have a record of her order/name/address.
Promises from MFI staff to "find" her have gone undone. To be perfectly honest, I have been reluctant to get involved and told her they'd soon come to finish it off once they realised they hadn't been paid.
Does anyone have any idea what could have happened here? Is is possible that because my mothers order has not been completed/signed off or whatever they do and she is somehow "missing" from the system they have forgotten about her?
She has not had a bill/statement or anything at all apart from the initial paperwork detailing her order, no payment has been demanded whatsoever!
Its a puzzler but now she is worried sick. She is 72 years old and wondering what to do.0 -
HI all, I have had about 75% of my kitchen delivered on the 24/11 and the rest to be delivered on the 18/12 I'm just hoping they can deliver them as I can't fit the kitchen without the items,I just would like to know where I stand if they don't deliver on the other bits. Can I send it back,Can I get a full refund from my credit card company even though I have had 75% of the kitchen delivered. And who owns the kitchen is the cc company or MFI .I paid £4500 pounds on two credit cards it's a real nightmare I just wanted to a poxy kitchen and now look what's happened my wife is in a right state I have pulled most of my old units apart luckily I have left the oven and sink in,As I said I just hoping that they can deliver the rest of my kitchen by the way its the kennington range. Thanks

If you bought a Silentnight bed from MFI and haven't received it or cancelled it in past week or so then Silentnight are contacting all the customers they know about and offering them a deal to get the bed before xmas (if possible ) and for most times they are even cheaper than the MFI prices. :j0
