  • Could I just make a suggestion, would it not be a good idea for TMO to have their own Forum, after all http://www.forumwise.com/ is free and I'm sure theres lots more out there, and a domain name is £6 for 2 years, so its not going to break the bank, and forum queries might get answered quicker.

We have checked your record and payment was made directly to your account this morning. Please check with your bank and let us know if you have any further questions.

i just got my bank statement and you have only sent cashback for 6 months of 192.00, and not 9 months cashback of 288.00. As you know i was told to follow the terms & conditions that i received with my order, and that was to claim at months 9 and 12. i did that by sending all 9 bills, and had to make an appeal that you requested of sending a copy of my t&c. Then you agreed with my case.
Now you have only sent me money for 6 months, i have contacted you so many times now and still i have not got my money back.
PLEASE SEND MY FULL AMOUNT OF MONEY FOR THE FULL 9 MONTHS ASAP. YOU CONTINUE TO BREAK YOUR OWN T&C, DOING BUSINESS TMO HAS BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD THAN ANY OTHER COMPANY. I WILL TAKE YOU TO COURT AND WILL SPREAD YOUR BAD REPUTATION IF YOU DO NOT SETTLE THIS ASAP.

ALSO PLEASE RESPOND TO MY PM'S THAT I HAVE SENT YOU MANY TIMES NOW.

  • It appears due to an administrative error the incorrect account number was typed whilst completing your BACS payment. A payment has been reissued today to the correct Co-operative Account and will credit your account on Friday morning. Please accept our sincerest apology about the delay and any inconvenience caused. As a goodwill gesture for our admin error we will be sending you a Free Bluetooth headset. This should be delivered to you within the next 3-5 working days.

They can't even get it right when they promise you a free gift as compensation. I received this e mail on the 12/12/06, I have received my casback(eventually) but I'm still waiting for the bluetooth headset.
  • tried ordering from them charged my bank 0.99 or 1.99 and never heard from them since, This was 3 months ago

Hm.... No Mobile yet. Hope this isn't whats in store for the future.
  • Here guys it's pathetic to be honest. I just received an email from one of their operations managers saying that he has personally sent out my SIM. Well it's only taken about 10 days, so that means I've paid 10/31 days worth for a product that I have no been able to use. Legal? I think not, under contract law this is abreach of contract and they can be sued.

In fact since they have broken their own T&C they are in breach of civil contract law and you can take them to court to be sued. If you're from England, Wales or Scotland then phone up Consumer Direct and they will give you advice as to what your rights are. 08454 04 05 06 is the number for them.

For those in Northern Ireland you can phone consumer line at 0845 600 62 62. I see no reason as why we should continue to talk to a brick wall. Your cashback is your right, and nothing short of the full payment should be accepted under any circumstances. I hope you get your case sorted out. I agree, it's just not worth it dealing with this company. I'd rather pay a little extra and use e2save instead.

The Forum Queries Team replied in their post shown below mine on the same page. Unfortunately, there has been no resolution to the issue.

After posting, I phoned, and phoned, and phoned and still nothing was resolved. I have had 8 telephone conversations with TMO. I have done the phoning in 6 of them, amounting to over 1.5 hours on the phone. I asked why they had ignored me for a week and could get no answer. It strikes me as odd the number of times I read "technical issues" used as an excuse for their malpractice. I am also still waiting for a reply to my email to the Forum Queries Team on 4 December, 25 days later.

They agreed that I should be compensated for all that has gone wrong (it had got so bad that even Virgin advised me to complain to Ofcom) ... in the end, I was passed on to a supervisor, who outlined their proposal for compensation:

She said if I returned the handset, they would refund me the cost of postage, provided I supplied them with a postage receipt.
That was it. I said this was unacceptable and after she made another couple of suggestions, it was decided best for me to email the owner, Imran, directly, which I did today. I was assured he would reply within 48 hours. I waited until the later part of this week as nobody would have replied over Christmas.

I will post an update on what happens. Thus far, the only reply I have received since then has been a PM from a member of this forum, mar<. It reads as follows:

"Your insults to TMO are unnecessary."

Assuming he is not affiliated with TMO in any way, he is perhaps a satisfied customer, which is a good sign for the rest of us having problems. Hopefully we can all be satisfied soon, to the benefit of all parties, including the company. Their deals are very good; their service needs to match.

Their website lists a very positive ABOUT US statement, containing:

Quality is never compromised ... focused on providing our customers with the best in all aspects of buying a mobile phone …. we understand our customers’ needs, which is evident in how we operate and in the level of service we provide ... simply outstanding customer service … our history has shown, quality for our customers will never be compromised.

Hopefully they will live up to this soon.

    Hi Simar,

If you can send your order details via PM we will be able to look into the delivery of your order.
