    Hi,

There has been some confusion in the past regarding orders dispatched by Vanilla Mobile on behalf of The Mobile Outlet. If you can include your order ref number as well as the tracking reference number for the delivery of your cash back application, we will look into your questions for you.

  • This company must have the worst customer service that I have ever experienced! I too have sent letters, countless emails and phone calls and I am still getting nowhere. I have sent off all the correct bills at the right time but it appears I have sent them to the wrong place! I ordered my phone through TMO but received pack from Vanilla Mobile so sent everything to them. It seems I shouldn't have done that!!!! How on earth am I supposed to know that when they sent me it!
After finally getting to speak to a real person I was assured it would all be sorted and I would receive an email from them.....as if!!!
Please could someone send me details of how to make a claim through the small claims court as I have had enough!
    Thanks in advance :)
  • Dear imshell

This is the first time I have heard of people having trouble

I can t how you have and all these people have been treated...... You really should take it further.. perhaps I could sugges the CAB/trading standards . It really is nt fair... we buy these phones in good faith keep ourside of the deal.

I m a single parent and I have three contracts like this is this what i have to look forward to....
  • Hey all, yeah basically trying to contact this company is like talking to a brick wall. They even sent me out a package without a SIM card which is the whole point of what I'm buying. Because I haven't received a SIM card it means that I'm paying for a contract that I can't even use. T-Mobile don't give a crap and keep telling me to phone back the company and continue to talk to a brick wall.

Well Pmed the representatives here and was given an apology and a promise that my SIM card should arrive either today or tomorrow while I would be contacted by a manager to sort out some sort of compensation. Basically if I don't receive my SIM card by tomorrow at 5pm AND I don't receive a phone call from one of their managers by saturday 5pm to sort out compensation then I will be reporting them to the following:

Office of fair trading: http://www.oft.gov.uk/default.htm (complaints are made to consumer direct but has helpful info.)
    Trading Standards: http://www.tradingstandards.gov.uk/
    Consumer Direct: http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/

For imshell, here is the page you're looking for: https://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk/csmco2/index.jsp

If they email you back and say that they will sort out your claim ASAP I wouldn't bother listening. They never did, so why should you? Basically they will tell you that they will sort it out and then stall for time, whereas if you file a claim you will get it sorted out pretty quickly and TMO will also have to pay the legal costs which they could've avoided if they weren't so unprofessional.

Remember, we have our rights, and there is no way on earth that ANY company should make us feel so stressed out and frustrated. It is dispicable and disciplinary action should be taken in my opinion.
  • Hey all, I decided to post up the conversation that I've been having with TMO via PM. I've decided to let them put their own reputation up for inspection by the whole board here by showing some transparency and results. I will keep you all posted on my progress and then you can decide whether or not buy from this company in the future.

Might I remind you that tomorrow is the deadline by which yourselves have stated that I should be receiving a SIM card. If I still have not received a SIM card by tomorrow afternoon I will have no choice but to report your company to a number of independent complaint bodies.

I will also be expecting a call from one of your managers by saturday afternoon in regards to compensation. Any later will not suffice. I will be forwarding this conversation to your other email addresses and if I am forced to take legal action then this will be used as evidence against you.

    Thank you.
    Hi,

Could you forward your order details so we can look into your order and get back to you with relevant information regarding your order.

Thank you for replying to my post. My order number is xxxxxx, Full name is xxxxxx, Address is xxxxxx

    Hi,

We have looked into your order and can only apologise about the length of time is has taken to try and deal with your problem. We will ofcourse reimburse you with any line rental cost during the period you do not have a SIM card. Due to the Christmas holidays it is likely that you will not receive a SIM card until Thursday/ Friday. Again we apologise about the delay and will have a manager to contact you at the end of this week to discuss your order and arrrange relevant line rental compensation.

I'm sorry I don't really understand what you're trying to say. Are you saying that you can't use the small claims court because you are not living in England or Wales? Because every country in the UK has their own small claims court and if you check Ofcom you will find that it even states this. Please clarify? I am actually based in Northern Ireland and if that's where your from then I can give you the website for the consumerline.
  • Hello all, I just bought a phone from TMO earlier today on a 12 month contract with T-Mobile, I will keep you all informed on their performance. P.S Have a happy new year when it comes. Lets hope I do +_+
  • Cancelled my previous post, never noticed this on their site.
