I resent being libelled in public.
Let us be done with this once and for all. You're wasting everybody's time and patience with these endless defamatory ramblings.
Will you kindly post, in black and white, quoting my exact words, for all to see, whatever it is I wrote that you keep alleging untruthfully that I deny writing.
And will you then please post, in black and white, quoting my exact words, for all to see, any denial by me of having written them.
So that we can all be done with this and move on to more constructive things.
In short, either put up or shut up.
And you won't be able to put up, because what you're saying is not true.
The rest of us here want to get on with exchanging information on how to obtain unpaid cashbacks from The Mobile Outlet.
You only bought your 'phones last December and have yet to even file a cashback claim, let alone have it ignored or rejected. You have no knowledge and no experience of the matters you're writing about.

Have just received a cheque from TMO, including £30 court fee. Victory for justice, common sense and MSE!

It is I that require a public apology from you Cobra, it is not the other way around.
Why did I deserve such a public harrassment from yourself in the first place?? I understand you must justify your extreme negative viewpoint, but in a civilised society we expect to let there be different opinions to our own, unless of course those opinions go beyond the moral line. Mine did not.
Were you seething, waiting in the wings after my being publically bullied by fitzgerald99? It seems so. I PM'd fitzgerald99 to say that he was being insulting in his post; and that he would actually achieve something (which he later actually did) by NOT trying to insult them. HE chose to try to insult me publically, as you did, as presumably the comment was a bit close to home.
In post #592 which you cite, he was trying to harrass me further. He said he didn't PM me to insult me ...NO - I was replying to his PUBLIC attack!!! Sarcastically, I would grant, but not unprovoked, and mild in light of the slur he'd served me.
From that experience, I keep my responses to you public, as the tone had been set on this rather irresponsible forum: this undesirable method people use to air their differences... which we seem to agree upon is a waste of everyone's time - yet you persist in doing.
You owe me rather a large apology actually, for attacking me in the unprovoked manor in which you did. How dare you address someone in that manner - is that the way you normally deal with people? I will not put up with that sort of behaviour from anyone, and so am not willing to let you get away with this.
Here's what you said in post #763 :-Cobra wrote:"Particularly when this company has earned a notorious reputation for being absolutely ruthless in denying customers their entire cashback if they themselves file any one of their five claims even one day late."
I repeat:-Cobra wrote:"Particularly when this company has earned a notorious reputation for being absolutely ruthless in denying customers their entire cashback if they themselves file any one of their five claims even one day late."
Please post a public retraction of that statement to TMO. It does not, as you say, say the following.:-Cobra wrote:"My point, if you would read it properly before trying to answer it and mispresenting it, was not "that if you fail to meet the conditions of the agreement that somehow you should still be entitled to your cashback."
I have never (unlike some) suggested that.
What I pointed out was the double-standards in the viewpoint that when a company enforces, rigourously and to the letter, every requirement it makes of those filing claims for cashback it is then perfectly and reasonably entitled to renege itself on those very same Terms & Conditions."
I repeat:-"What I pointed out was the double-standards in the viewpoint that when a company enforces, rigourously and to the letter, every requirement it makes of those filing claims for cashback it is then perfectly and reasonably entitled to renege itself on those very same Terms & Conditions"
You said it again! That's the deal - do you not get it?!? If you deviate from the very strict terms and conditions, then you are not entitled to the cash back - it's very clear, and everyone understands that. There is no room for doubt or obligation on the part of MO to honour those that fail to meet this basic condition, even though they actually have done, and there is evidence of that on this very thread. Have you not seen those posts?
Your current activity on this thread, has actually lead to a reduction in the presence of TMO, which is detrimental to everyone, so you're not having good effect.
I repeat to you... please retract your untrue statement about TMO, and publically apologise to me for your bullying conduct.0 -
.
Now look what you've done, "mar<" you crashed the entire server for two hours this afternoon filing that one. :money:
Can we get on now, folks?
Let's hear it for Alec, everybody. :T
Congratulations on getting your cashback, mate! You're an inspiration to everybody. :j
Victory for justice, common sense and a lot of resolution. :A
Where's the party, Alec? :beer:0 -
If you are reading this, can you please clean up this thread so it's back to providing useful information for those having problems with MO and cashback.
Thanks~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

Got a cheque today for £72 (no chasing required) following email sent from them a few weeks ago.
The note with it says:
Dear Customer,
We have undertaken the policy of paying successful Cash-Back claims in 5 equal instalments. This will ensure that no mistakes are made in calculating your redemption and you will alo be fully aware of the Cash-Back amount you are due.
This is worked out by dividing your free line rental by the 5 equal instalments and only applies if your Cash-Back claim is successful.Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0
