  • Dear Forum Query Team

I'm still awaiting your reply about your intentions to comply with the court order to pay me the cashback I'm due.

    Yours sincerely

Is anybody else in Alec's position (i.e. The Mobile Outlet ignoring a judgement from the Small Claims Court) ?

What have you found to be the best way to proceed, when faced with this?

  • I know many people have had problems with cashback, but I received my 1st cheque last week for sum of £180(6 months) without any problems. I just hope that I don't have a problem with the last 6 months.

    .
I'm glad you got your cashback without problems, SGT.

How soon/long after submitting your claim did it arrive?
    .
  • cheque arrived this morning :)
  • I have today received a letter from TMO advising me that my cash back claim has been refused as I failed to send them bill 6, only bills 7-12 It has taken them almost two months since my claim was first submitted to advise me of this fact, convieniently pointing out to me that bill 6 is now outside of the 21 days from the date of the 12th bill.

On checking my bills now I find that I did omit to send bill 6 (June) I had somehow worked out that as I received the phone in January, bill 1 therefore started in February, I subsequently found a bill dated three days after receipt of the phone making January bill 1)

I am prepared to accept that I made a mistake, but I am somewhat annoyed that they could not have pointed this out to me when I still had time to send them bill 6. They e-mailed me to say they had received my claim, so it is not beyond the impossible that they could have also e-mailed me to say can you send us bill 6?

    Whats one bill between friends!!!

I am guessing that it is not even worth the cost of a stamp to write to TMO to ask them to reconsider, point out that they could have advised me much earlier etc, given the problems that others are having with TMO.

Think I will have to write it off as one of lifes lessons (learn to count bill numbers!).

Hope that some of you have better luck with your claims.
  • I have entered a judgement against them by default, as they didn't bother to make a defense. I have now had to issue a warrant, as they still haven't paid, or made any contact. The bailiff has been around once, with no luck, so is trying again tomorrow!

I am happy to confirm that I received my 2nd and final cashback claim in the post this morning. This was a week outside MO's standard terms, but I'm really chuffed to have got it.

We've ended up getting back both my husband's and my cashback claims in full, and I truly believe that this has been almost solely due to the power of this forum.

I now wish everyone else the same luck that we've had: keep trying, it is worth it!
