I am really glad for you Somnium!

Well, AF has arrived today, which means I am going to try and get the first blood tests tomorrow. It is a whole list: full blood count, serum ferritin, TFT, prolactin, FSH, LH, Testosterone. Just a quick questions for those who did the day 3 tests, do you have breakfast before going or not? Doctor didn't say anything about it, and I don't need an appointment, just go to hospital and pick up a ticket for the queue.

  • Gymfiend - I used fahrenheit so i'm not sure how dramatic those changes are :o Are you taking them in the same place in your mouth, at the same time each day before moving about or anything? In this colder weather with the heating being turned up i would sometimes end up breathing through my mouth as the air is so stuffy, so that affected my temps. I didn't begin charting until CD 8-10 each cycle because temps can vary widely during and immediately after AF. Hopefully they will settle in a few days.
  • Nicki - no news on me yet. The pain disappeared to cramping at wk 7 so i guess the ectopic sac reabsorbed like they said it would. I was at the GP yesterday and she said the hospital said i was 6 weeks at the last scan and there was no heartbeat, so a little worried. I'm waiting for the hospital to call me back. Was supposed to be going for a private scan next week to check if anything developed, but had to get the in laws a new washing machine so don't think we can afford it anymore :( How are you doing?

Jem - another common reason for spotting is your cervix getting a little irritated, it happens to alot of women after sex during the latter part of the cycle. I never thought i'd see those 2 magic lines again, but it really does happen when you don't expect it to. Have faith! Still got my fingers crossed for you :)

FE - you could well be pregnant again as you're more fertile after m/c (natures way of trying to say sorry perhaps?!). You can get about 15-20 cheapies on ebay for £3 inc postage, or you could get a free blood test? My AF came back different after each loss, so i'm sure there's a specific pattern to when the witch returns

Glad you're appointment went well Somnium, congrats again on allll that exercise and weight loss :)

Ginvzt - i did eat before the bloods (esp as i get faint afterwards), if you don't eat then you have to tell them the results are "fasting" as they can be different. Make sure to get E2/estadiol tested too as it can affect the reliability of the FSH result.

My general health is rubbish just now so back off to bed for a pity party :p . I'm waiting to see a cardiologist to check my vascular system as having weird symptoms and problems with my heart, really struggling at the mo and sick of being stuck in bed. There's always something eh :rotfl:

If they suspect it might be a molar, I can't understand why they wouldn't do a scan for you asap  . Are they expecting you to wait for your 12 or 20 week scan to find out? It makes no sense for you to have to pay for a private scan, when the NHS guidelines are that molars, like ectopics, should be diagnosed and dealt with asap. Do you have a EPAU in your area? Could you not just pitch up with a story for them and get another one that way?

I'm still waiting for my first scan, which is next Tuesday. I had a scare last week when I was exposed to chicken pox and had to have my immunity tested as it can be harmful at this stage, but all was OK, and I had a little spotting yesterday which worried me as well, but the doctor said it was probably OK and that Tuesday was the earliest it was worth doing a scan anyway so I should just take things easy and try not to worry. Which is what I am trying to do, but with chocolate!

Thanks!!!! I will see what I decide in the morning. Probably will have something beforehand, as I have no idea how ling it might take. I am also worried about going to the hospital - it is the first time I am going there, not sure of the parking, where do I need to go once I get there, etc!!!! Too many worries....

Ginvzt your tests won't take too long and as for avoiding panicking just make sure you get there with time to spare so you have time to find where your going, most hospitals I've had to go to always have people who can tell you where to go or a reception. As for eating just do what ever you would normaly do for breakfast.

Well, I don't need an appointment - as long as I make to hospital between 8:30 and 16:30, I am fine. Thanks everyone for answers.

;) Thanks myaccount...Hope you are feeling better soon. I'm still unsure as to where i stand at the moment :o Been getting really weird pain in my back (not like usual pms back ache), Been having random twinges in abdomen and just below my bikini line, its not constant, just every few hours. (again not like period symptoms?!) Had an almighty stabbing pain earlier, only lasted about 30 seconds but it was enough to make me cry! Regarding what was said about a poss. of cervix irritation, i hadn't had sex for about a week or so before that happened so no idea?! Just wish that i had noted when i O'd so then i'd know when AF was due. But normally i have very strong pmt, sometimes up to a week or more before Af, and i dont have anything, not even my moodiness  which is nice though! I can't help but think what if...but feel like i'm setting myself up for yet another fall. I cant EVER imagine seeing that BFP and am scared of testing because im sure i'll see a BFN, it doesn't help that i don't know if AF late or not.Apparently i was due yesterday, but im sure i O'd later than normal! Arrrgghhhh ... :o Anyway, ive decided if this month aint the month then i'm gonna buy a thermometer & Opk off ebay and really see whats happening with me...Hopefully wont need them though. Sorry about the big post.

Hugs and Baby dust to you all

Have a good rest everyone - weekend starts tomorrow at 5pm!
