  • Triggles, I havent got into the arguement one way or another, although I agree with the general sentiments on here - but you dont fit the bill anyway, so enjoy your BFP with all your heart - I am sure the next 4 weeks, and your scan will sail by and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy, even now - whatever the outcome = you are pregnant and god willing will have a happy healthy little baby. ENJOY EVERYTHING and dont let anyone take that away from you whatever. Lilo

  • Well, tomorrow is dday with the colposcopy clinic, so I should know more by tomorrow evening, and hopefully a great start to 2009!!! Had an awfully worded letter from them today, telling me about the result quote 'you have had an abnormal result and require an urgent referral to the clinic' - CHARMING - I was getting to be okay, and ended up spending the day worrying it was worse than I was imagining!!

Anyway, hopefully all will be okay

  • Oh crikey Lilo, that's a really stupid way to word a letter if you're not trying to panic someone! At least you'll be seen soon. Here's hoping all goes smoothly and is fine!

Nottslass, I am keeping everything crossed for you!!!!

Um... sorry to be a pain but can I ask again if anyone has any experience with the Fertility score male test? DH and I couldn't find any reviews on the web. I'm wondering if the results would be taken seriously by a doctor. (OH is really not enamoured of the idea of having to take a sample to the hosp!) Any info/advice will be very gratefully received! :D

Oh my God!!!! I just read the last few pages after not visiting you all for the last week or so!!!

So - happy Christmas everyone and enjoy your New Year celebrations tomorrow!!!!! Lets make it BFP year!!!!!

Fairy Elephant - if you are still here, congratulations!!!!! I told you to believe in yourself!!!!! You did it!!!! I am so happy for you! You have been through so much and I wish you all the best!!! Enjoy the next 9 months!

Well, we are still at in-laws. No problem with BD - our room is on the oposit corner of the apartment with 4 doors to the in-laws bedroom and a rather good insulation;)

I am CD20 - don't know when I OVed or if, as decided not to take any tmperatures this month. But, I suspect it happen something like a week ago... I think almost every day I was playing with babies... I was even joking with my husband, that we should just take one of them... We went to Baptism of the friends' baby and now we are officially godparents!!!! He is a little nearly 6 month old angel - no cry all day, skipped 2 meals over all the celebration and didn't complain! Was happy to be hold by anyone and smilled loads. So, I think I had a chance to play with 3 babies so far and one toddler (3-year old, who never stops!!!!! Runing around from early morning till 11 at night without breaks - literally!).

What I realised few days ago, that I am looking forward to feling sick in the morning and all the nasties of the begining of the pregnancy... Probably, because it is taking 'a while' to get to that oint, I wouln't mind throwing up every morning... Then, today morning I was feeling rather sick - but that is definitely because we had a bit too much to eat last night. We went skiing (cross country) and the feeling sort of went away. Almost. Then I managed to fall on the ski and get the pointy bit in my stomach (didn't realise what happended - just my stomach hurt!) - nothing to stop the fun, just a bit of pain :o . And of course, all the thoughts started - what if we were lucky this month, does it mean it is going to go all wrong, etc... Never mind that - there is still a week to go till AF due day (hope it doesn't show up!!!!). And then the sicky feeling came back this evening!!!! Don't know what to thing, but I am blaming the food (although, it is really nice....) Oh, and my nipples are really sensative since yesterday....

Sorry for the long post, but I had to get my share for the last week!!!!!

  • Shelly, I have cats too, and they are my babies - You did the best for her and you allowed her the dignity and love in dying where she was loved best. You can do no more, but my heart is with you its desperately sad, and they leave a big, fluffy sized hole. HUGS HUGS HUGS

DH has just ordered one of the FertilityScore tests from Access Diagnostics. Has anyone got any experience with them?

He's reluctant to visit the doc (the embarrassment factor). I think we're going to see how this test goes and then make an appt.

I hate to say this but IMO they are a waste of money (opinion of an experienced andrologist). They either offer a false sense of security or worry you unnecessarily. They do not tell you anything about the true quality of the sperm, there are many more factors to consider than just sperm count. I think that particular test counts live sperm too which is better than the others, so i suppose if it came back badly your DH may go and get a proper analysis. It's best to know what exactly you're dealing with so you can fix it. I think it's important to remember that many men with sperm factors can still conceive naturally though. I can empathise as DHs GP is a family friend so he has been the same. They can do it at home though if you are close to the hospital. Usually they won't provide any treatment for the female without investigating possible male factors first. Hope you fall pregnant before you have to!

Thanks everyone for your lovely messages.

    We are doing ok...I think.

We buried her this morning in a part of the garden where she won't be disturbed by any future digging of the garden. I am looking into plants/bushes that flower at this time of year to mark her grave. Had another good cry as hubby placed her in the ground (wrapped in a towel and then in a box....couldn't bear to think of bare earth on her :o )

Its only been just over 24 hours but I miss her like crazy already.

    Thanks again everyone

:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

Thanks for your reply. Yes, it apparently does look at motile sperm - I'm hoping it will flag up anything that is an immediate issue.

I keep thinking automatically that I have a 'fertility issue', but then I remember it could be DH. He seems to want to be an ostrich about it. Maybe it's more difficult for a bloke to get his head around - we ladies are reminded of of wombs every time af arrives, so we maybe have a better idea of how fragile the balance is.

It's just arrived - VERY swift delivery seeing as he ordered it after lunch yesterday! The instructions are very detailed. Will be interesting to see what the results are, anyway...

  • Hi to all on this thread. I am new hear and just had a quick question to ask. I have been diagnosed with PCOS since the age of 20. I am now 31, I was told I probally would not have children as it was hard to conceive. I was then put on metformin to help regulate my periods as I only get 1 period a yr if lucky??. Well I was allergic to metformin and tried various other drigs all of which I was allergic too.

A friend of mine tried Agnus Castus a hermal remedy and said it helps women conceive who have pcos, it helps to regulate periods and along with other various effects. Sooo my question is this, Has anyone tried it and if so did it work???

I am so tired of searching for something to help us, my partner and I have been together for 14yrs, and this is becoming so hard to deal with now, any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

And I would just like to say goodluck to all who are trying.
