Lilo, I'm so sorry to hear your news
I know I'm quiet on the thread but have been following everyone for a while...I don't feel like I can offer you any advice, but I guess just keep that chin up - Dr's seem to be doing a good job so hopefully they have caught it early. You will be in my thoughts xxx
Nottslass - sorry to hear yours tooBut...it's 2009 & onwards & upwards. I think making a decision now on what to do would be impossible, a few more days to clear your heads will help xxx

What is your BMI? And what does your clinic want you to be?
The drugs vary depending on how you react to them - ours was about £700 3 years ago? However I was on the minimum amount.

Wow! Are those costs for private or NHS as thats way more than I had expected.
My BMI was 32ish and is now 29.5ish I need to be below 29 so I need to loose an approximate 5/6lb in three weeks. I just got a wii fit before Xmas thanks to my mum and that has been fab hence the initial weight loss, I have also just purchased some wrist/ankle weights in the sale so am hoping those will help shift a few pounds too. I don't want to do any daft diets as my aim is to be healthy, so I may just have to up the excercise and cut back a bit more on portions. Am going to buy a slow cooker this weekend so am hoping that will help with the healthy part hehe. Its so cold atm but I may resort to going for a walk on my lunch break as there is a park opposite us.Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2

I will be leaving the thread now, as the news at the colposcopy clinic was as bad as it could be - I have cervical cancer. I have had the biopsy and blood tests, and am awaiting having an MRI scan to determine the extent and treatment, but unless I am a medical phenomenon, the consultant oncologist is certain that I have it. Obviously they could have caught it quickly and treatment may still enable me to have children, but I have to be realistic that my journey has ended. Sorry to end 2008 in this manner, but I didnt want to depress 2009!!!!
Good luck and sticky baby dust to you all, and thank you for your help and support during my own journey.
Lilo
Lilo,
I am sorry to hear your news, i wanted to give you some hope. My best friend had cervical cancer and had to have it treated but she went on to have a healthy pregnancy at 41! Six years on and she is still clear. Take care. x0 -
Nottslass so sorry for your BFN
I am 10 dpo and right behind you i think. My condition (neurological & multi-system) is getting worse and i doubt we have more than one more cycle to get pregnant before we have to give up forever. I'm anxious to test and see if we have made it, but at the same time i'm just too scared.

Hi All....wondering if I can join in on this one please if I already have children?
I'm 33 and have three kiddies already who each took different times to conceive.13 months for my first,8 months then success on the first month(cycle 9) of an ovulation trial for my second who then arrived 3 months early:rolleyes: And with my third we weren't even trying tbh.
Anyway we both want another baby and we are now on cycle number 25:o ~two long years.
I feel awful telling anybody because I know they must be thinking I should just be grateful for the beautiful kids I already have....so sorry if it comes across like that. We're using ov sticks this month and I'm charting etc but I'm getting quite down about it all tbh. We've agreed that if we don't get a BFP this month we'll go see a GP but I'm dreading their reaction too if I'm honest as we have special needs kids and most people think we're mad wanting another as it is:o
Sending buckets of baby dust to you all

Hello & of course you're welcome here - it doesn't matter if you are having problems TTC your 1st or 10th !!!!!
Personally I'm TTC my 3rd,I have 2 boys aged 6 & 22 and just found out that my 1st IVF cycle has failed !!!
As for people thinking you're mad to want another one, just tell 'em (dead straight faced) that you're only doing it for the benefit money, after all their is a credit crunch going on !!!!!0 -
Lilo and Nottslass, sorry to read your respective news, what a sad start to the new year. I hope the rest of the year brings with it much hope and good news as time goes by.
The day I was dreading arrived and my best friend told me she's expecting, after about 4-6 months of trying. She found out on Xmas day and told me NYeve. Talk about mixed emotions - on the one hand I was bursting with delight for her and on the other feeling total despair for myself. I think (hope) I put on a 'delighted' reaction for her, as I was genuinely feeling that. Poor DH though had to cope with me as a sobbing mess while I selfishly went through the 'why not me' tears afterwards. Now I'm glad that THAT day is gone and wish her all the joy in the world for her pregnancy. I look forward to spoiling and pampering her over the next 9 months and having a very special baby to spoil rotten come September. She's older than me by around 18 months, so I also now feel some hope that there's still time.
Fertility clinic appt on Monday, so I can only hope that it's onwards and upwards from here onwards.
Hi to everyone and welcome newbies. Happy New Year to you all xxx0 -
Thank you all for your kind words, as you can see I am still reading, although tbh I am finding it hard, but I wanted to see how notslass got on - I am so sorry it hasnt worked, I certainly know how that feels.
Shelly thanks for your message of support, I thought it was you on here that had had CC but wasnt sure. Mine is in the glands - so my biggest worry is that it has spread. He has removed all the visible growth with a biopsy but until the MRI/biopsy results, we know no more. I am due to go back on 14th for more info, and until then, I am just trying to think positive!!!! will pm you if I get stuck - mainly with trying to deal with it, I think.
Keep going and trying girls, I will be back in the saddle in the future if I possibly can - it is so wierd not ttc anymore - I can stop avoiding aspartame, not taking ibuprofen, drink more coffee, taking supplements - the freedom!!! (oh and I got absolutely smashed on New Years Eve - ooops!!!)
Take care all - LiloLive on £4000 a year again for 20110
