    Hi everyone.

I don't want to go on and on about my cat as I know this is a TTC thread but a good few of you sent your good wishes for her so I just wanted to let you know that we lost her this evening.

I really thought we would have a couple more months with her but this evening she was really struggling. After calling a dozen or more vets we eventually found one that was willing to come out to us and she died peacefully and quietly in my arms.....well if you call me sobbing hysterically going peacefully :o

I feel strangely calm now she has gone as I know we did our absolute best for her this evening, she is at peace and not struggling anymore.

Oh Shelly, I'm so sorry to hear that. It does sound like you did the best thing for her, as difficult as it must have been for you. *hugs* from me and my OH.

Shelly, I have cats too, and they are my babies - You did the best for her and you allowed her the dignity and love in dying where she was loved best. You can do no more, but my heart is with you its desperately sad, and they leave a big, fluffy sized hole. HUGS HUGS HUGS

Shelly - so sorry about your cat. You're not making it "all about your cat" - we all know that frame of mind can also affect ttc - so anything that is stressing you or upsetting you can really affect things.

Thanks to those who posted after me about the BFP thing. Honestly, I was really feeling badly that I had hurt peoples feelings or been completely insensitive, and I didn't want to do that. I'm still a bit of a basket case here, and will be for another 4 wks until we have our 12 wk scan. Then maybe I'll allow myself to breathe a bit. Until then, I'm terrified something will go wrong. I keep overanalysing every little thing.

Pixiebum - I'm sorry - I really don't know much about PCOS. But there are a few on here that can provide lots of info on it.

Hope everyone has some exciting New Years plans. We're going to relax at home, as everyone seems to be fighting off colds.

DH has just ordered one of the FertilityScore tests from Access Diagnostics. Has anyone got any experience with them?

He's reluctant to visit the doc (the embarrassment factor). I think we're going to see how this test goes and then make an appt.

I'm going to post this on the other thread too, in case anyone on there has any other info - apologies for the duplication - I feel like I'm 'between threads' at the mo.

Hi Ladies,Hope that everyone had a great Christmas & spent any their lie ins productively (nudge, nudge, wink, wink)

As for me,well I'm now convinced that the IVF hasn't worked - test day is Monday the 5th - this 2 weeks can probably go down as one of the longest ever !!!!! I dread to think what it would've been like had We not has Xmas to distract us.

Welcome to the Newbies, you'll find lots of support & and advise here,as well as plenty of people who'll listen should you feel like a rant !!!!

Triggles,I'm thinking of you,Your BFP gives hope to anyone having difficulty getting or staying pregnant -all of who,are very welcome here (its just the super fertile lot,who manage to get pregnant sitting on a loo seat, that will be directed elsewhere)

Love to you all & pleasssse keep you fingers crossed for a BFP on Monday.

Aw nottslass - I'm hoping you see a blaring BFP when you test on Monday! I can imagine it has been a long 2 weeks! Is that "their" official test day? Or are you just determined not to test sooner - or will the injectables give you a false positive prior to then? (yes, we can all see by my barrage of questions that I am a complete novice with IVF stuff- didn't torture ourselves with researching it as it is out of our reach)

Monday is the clinics official test day - think that if I test sooner I'll be "tempting fate" ( silly I know ) also,If I test early and get a BFN "it'll all be over sooner" and sometimes ignorance is bliss !! IYKWIM,

Apparently The trigger shot you have 36 hours before EC can give a false positive and this takes 14 days to leave your system, but My Trigger shot was 14 days ago exactly.

OH wants me to test 1 day early.on the Sunday,so at least we'll have a day to "get over it" before work !!!

  • Hi Notslass, its not over until the fat lady sings, so dont assume that it is positive or negative - all the drugs you have taken have prob confused your body anyway so keep everything crossed until then. I assume that the clinic will do a blood test on Monday? If so you will get an absolute then. All my love and thoughts are with you - lilo

  • Triggles, I havent got into the arguement one way or another, although I agree with the general sentiments on here - but you dont fit the bill anyway, so enjoy your BFP with all your heart - I am sure the next 4 weeks, and your scan will sail by and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy, even now - whatever the outcome = you are pregnant and god willing will have a happy healthy little baby. ENJOY EVERYTHING
