LILO and STITCH
Thank you for the info. I will look that up and maybe ask the doc too as the timing might not be right for that at the mo.
Got a night out tomorrow night, so that will officially be last drink until 2009- but hopefully I will be on the wagon for 9 months in total - God Willing.0 -

To be honest the BDing is already becoming a bit non-fun already, so no hope for us really as only been at it for a few monthsDH has got it into his head about being on a schedule and it seem to put him off a bit, but it is difficult to be spontaneous when I know that I really need to be trying at least every other night, grr!
Definately non fun here right now too! I rarely O so im always on tender hooks. Do you do BBT (temps?) You're only fertile for 3 days or so each month, the rest of the time you can do what and when you (and he) likes0 -

Anything between 19-26 is totally fine, studies have just shown that 22-24 is the 'best' in terms of a healthy pregnancy and child. Once BMI drops below 19 your likely to experience problems with ovulation and endometrium, and there are higher rates of m/c and infant illness & behavioural disorders etc from mothers outside of the healthy range. Of course people of ALL bmi's still get pregnant and have healthy kids.0 -
Mysmeg, the treatment is definately 'alternative' so dont be surprised if doc is non-supportive, or hasnt even heard of it!!!
Good luck to all this weekend = liloLive on £4000 a year again for 20110 -
I've just been catching up on the last week's posts - sounds like there are a few things happening out there for this ttc crowd. Let's hope that the not-so-distant season of goodwill contains a hefty smattering of good luck for us all too.
I got the last of my 21 day blood test results back yesterday and all is good, well within the tolerances apparently. I also found out that the dr sent off our referral letter to the fertility clinic at the beginning of November, so fingers crossed we'll hear from them soon. In fact I think I might chase them up later this week. Thanks VK-2008 for posting about your first appt with the clinic - it's great to know it went well and has given me some pointers about what to get prepared for when our appt comes through.
I'm actually getting a bit bored with this whole ttc lark now. I'm sick of the dissappointment I feel every month, sick of trying to explain my feelings (yet again) to DH, sick of mentally calculating my next Ov/Af/possible baby due dates, even though I try soooooo very hard not to think about it. And sick of seeing dresses that would be perfect for SIL's wedding next July and then instantly considering that IF I have a bump by then I'd have to rethink.
And I'm sick of ranting to the few close friends who know, and who are great, and who make all the right noises but can't possibly truely understand how it feels. So thanks guys for listening and understanding... :rolleyes:0 -
hi nikki, i know this must be a hard time for you an oh and i can quite see how easily frustrating the whole process is going to be for us.

Well mine sits at 17 and has never been over 18, but this is not due to any problems or anything, just always been like it (am 5'10" nearly 5'11" and very small built). I am hoping that as this is my "normal" that it should be ok (my mum was a similar size/weight when she was my age and had me and my sister ok then). As far as I can find, having a blighted ovum isn't related to weight or much else for that matter so I must just have been unlucky this first time(would have been 12 weeks today)

Yup I do BBT, but this really only tells you after the ov event and it may even be too late for that egg by temp shift so can't use that alone. I've got the TCOYF book which has been informative. Also try to monitor CM to try and identify fertile days but I don't seem to get the most indicative type so this is why it is difficult to know really (so far I though I was fertile from week before last, but still no temp shift, CD26 now, rubbish! Have no cysts or anything but think there may still be HCG in my system nearly 4 weeks after ERPC/D&C! It is taking ages to go down as got another very very faint + on a 10 miu test this morning)

Im 5'11 too! Im 10st and am just naturally this way too. My lowest weight was 9.5st (through immune illness), i really did look so scrawny and my nutritional stores were depleted - i think it is mother natures way of ensuring a pregnancy doesn't rob you of the essentials you need for your own health. Thankfully i got over my illness and gained the weight back. I was told by one rude (male) doctor that anything under 11st is the cause of my infertility, he told me to come back once we had been TTC for another 6 months (like this would help after trying for over 4 years). Needless to say i was both insulted & annoyed at his lack of knowledge or capacity to sympathise. I think they just assume if you are tall and slim you having an eating disorder  I would love to gain another 12lbs and have that BMI of 22, but after continuously trying to gain weight for 1.5 years i can safely assume this is just how my body should bePregnancy takes a lot from your reserves, but as long as you maintain a healthy balanced diet and watch your B levels & iron i don't see any problem.
