  • My clinic didn't do the nasal drugs - they've found that women have more side effects on them? This was a couple of years ago though.
    The IVF worked;DS born 2006.

Nottslass - Ovitrelle! That's the one I was trying to think of! Yes I think the GonalF is the expensive stuff - I needed to buy an extra one last time and it was  money! Seems like my clinic's supplier was not a bad deal then. They first sent me the Synarel (3 of them) by mistake and I had to get them changed, as I can't do the sniffing thing (makes me sick). Not that the injections are 'pleasant' but at least they are once a day and then it's all over for 24 hours.

At the moment my emotions are all over the place (eg. I can't watch the news as every time I see anything about that poor little boy I just can't help crying) - suspect it is the downregging - and I am so tired I could just sleep all the time. I'm so ratty with DH that I'm surprised he's even talking to me at the moment!

    Have a good day everyone!

Hi FE,started sniffing my down reg drugs today - how long is it until the side effects start ?

Had my first acupuncture appointment today, and found it really relaxing, because my clinic shuts for 2 weeks over Xmas, there's not alot of leeway if I don't down reg on schedule,so my acupuncturist says she'll try her best !!!

Hi Nottslass, I think it was about 5 days into injecting, but I was already really tired (maybe it's my age - almost time to join the Q for lavender water, shopping tolley etc LOL!). Apart for the urge to burst into tears every 5 mins, I get a nasty metallic taste in my mouth - I've heard from gals who use the synarel that this is even worse if you are sniffing - sorry!

Day 31 today, and no sign of AF (irritability aside - been irritable for ages now!). Bit concerning as more usually a 30 day cycle, and I need it to start before blood test can be taken....guess I am getting resigned to nothing going exactly 'to plan' this treatment cycle....

Oh Sarah - you just made me cry! (good thing I'm on my own in the office at the mo!). What a lovely caring boy your son must be - I'm sure you don't need me to tell how lucky you are!
I am an only child too, but I found it a very lonely experience and longed for a sibling. I always declared that I would NEVER have just the one child - how naive I was to think that it would be my decision!!!

I know - I was telling someone else the same story and it made me cry again then! He was so innocent about it, he really thought he was helping. And yes, I know how lucky I am and I thank my stars every day.
  • Hi Ladies,
    I am back...after a little advice?

Firstly: Sarahs999 your little one sounds an absolute darling :)

Ok - I got back from the hospital this morning, having had a full scan of my insides...she couldn't tell me anything but I think she gave something away..
I am low in estrodial is what I have gathered from the Dr so far, so scanned today and as she was scanning she asked 'have you had a scan for the tube scarring before' - so I said 'no, why is there something there' - but she said Oh just wondering, as if she had tripped herself up and said something she shouldn't, because all the results have to go through my GP.
So fallopian tube scarring - what does it mean and where do I stand? Google is frightening me - anyone else been in this position? I think I could cry...but I'm sat in the office so I'd better not!!x
  • p.s. I'm 22 too :) We weren't 'trying' up to now [but weren't not either?!] but now we feel like it might never happen we are...though I don't know if it's totally pointless as 7 months without a period suggests it's highly unlikely...

Hiya, i have a very extream form of tube scarring, so therefore cannot get preg normally so to speak.
although as i have had 5 laposcopy's, im pretty sure thats the way they determine these things as i had numerous scans and they showed nothing.
only after the fifth lapo i was actually given diagnosis.
i think maybe you should talk it over with gp/consultant. wait for results, stop paniking as you will stress yourself out more thinking of what it could be, where as when you have a diagnosis you then have things to work with like your next move
    xx

Thank you :) I'm so so trying not to panic and worry but I've not had a period in 7 months so am quite sure there's something wrong - in all that time we've not used any protection so keep thinking ooh no period might mean a baby...even today getting my scans done I kept thinking ooh it might be lovely they might find a baby...ridiculous really. Even coming out of there I am still half way convinced they've got it all wrong :o
