I've just been catching up on news - been wondering all week how you got on Lilo... so very sorry that it wasn't the news you (and we all) hoped for. I can't even begin to imagine how you must be/have been feeling.
No news from me really. 21 day bloods were taken again this morning for the 2nd time. Hopefully they'll manage to put the results on my notes this time. Still waiting to hear that we've been referred. Does anyone know how long it might take from the doc sending the referral letter to us hearing from the clinic? I want to keep on top of things this time to chase them if necessary!0 -
Hi Nikki,
I think the waiting time prob. depends where you are in the country (like the availability of fertility treatment!).
In my case, it took the NHS over 2 months to write and tell me I wasn't eligable for any help (as DH had children with his ex), wheras when I was referred privately I heard back within 2 weeks (but at that point I was a LOT more proactive about chasing things up, and had actually contacted the clinic beforehand to tell them I was going to be referred to them by my GP and ask could they contact me with an appt ASAP!!!).
Hope you don't have to wait too long - there may be something in the NICE guidelines about waiting times, so you could check that out and then you'll know when it may be time to start chasing them!
Good luck,

We had a slightly better time at the clinic today. Spoke to the consultant about the chances of success with IUI and he is more optimistic than the nurse was. He's also said even if it doesn't work first time it will be a good diagnostic tool to try to work out what the problem is.
So, we're provisionally booked to have it on Monday morning, assuming that all goes according to plan and my LH surge is on Sunday. If it's earlier than that, I won't be able to go ahead with it this cycle, and if it's later, they'll reschedule the procedure to later next week. So fingers crossed for Sunday! After which I think I'll try to arrange something to look forward to for every day of the 2ww to try to take my mind of things, otherwise I'll go crazy!
Fingers crossed for me, please.
Good luck to everyone trying
Ooh Goodyee ! I get to do my fertility dance again !
Anybody who wants to join in, can - you have to be semi naked, dancing round a clear blue fertility monitor, phallic object in hand, singing "all i want for Christmas is a BF " (wouldn't recommend you do it in public)0 -

In theory you should not have to wait more than 18 weeks from the date of referral to the start of treatment, but it really does depend on local wait list times.you could give the clinic a ring and ask how long the waiting time is to see a consultant as a new referral.0 -

Hi Ladies
Im about to embark on IVF again in December. Have 4 frozen embryos left and this will probably be our last time as i will the big 40 next year. Had two miscarriages via IVF this year - 8 weeks and 12 weeks. Trying to stay optimistic.
If any of you ladies need any help are or are about to embark on it yourself, i would be happy to chat.

Horrifying about the drug prices - I know it happens, but people want to make so much money from you when you have little options. The chemist was appalling - dont imagine you will be going there!!!!!!
Good luck to all, looks like we have more IVFs coming up so maybe a BFP from someone!!?!! Please!!!! I have to have hope!!!!!!!!!1
PS - are we all 40 or thereabouts? Im 40 in April, and Im sure more of you are that age --- perhaps we should rename the geriatrics thread!!!!!!
Have a good weekend, liloLive on £4000 a year again for 20110 -
