See, when we do succeed, we can use the pushchairs as zimmerframes as we toddle round the park in our slippers!
Personally I can't wait for the look on the 1st persons face who assums that I'm "granny",only to wish that the ground would swallow them, when informed otherwise:eek: .lol0 -
Hi everyone
I usually post on Trying for a Baby, but as you know I had a miscarriage last month at around 8 weeks and although I've posted on there about this I think maybe you girls have better knowledge that can help me.
I'll give all the background just in case: married in June, started TTC on honeymoon, but I had already Ovd so it was too late. Got PG in august, found out in September at 5 weeks, then started bleeding on 3 Oct and lost the baby. I bled for two weeks so although it is just over 5 weeks since the mc started, it is 3 weeks since it stopped and I'm not sure which is the more significant date.
Anyway, taking the first day of the mc as day 1, I am now on day 39 and have what seem to be PG symptoms.
We did BD this month (against doctor's advice lol) but not really, really seriously, just did BD quite a lot and I tried to guess when I might Ov.
Anyway, the last few days I have had very sore boobs, like way more sore than they get with AF, constipation, wind, weeing more than usual, waking in the night to wee, feeling variously hot and cold, having vivid dreams, slightly headachy, thirsty, and yesterday noticed some Montgomery's tubercules and that my areolas are bigger and darker (although these last two things seem to come and go).
Some of it could be because I got made redundant last week but I don;t feel due on, I feel like I might be PG.
I bought some Tesco tests last night but haven;t done one today as I had to wee in the night again.
The symptoms are all what I had when I was PG before and I have never had them at any other time.
So I guess what I'm asking is am I getting my hopes up? Should I leave it longer to test? Is it just my body sorting itself out after the mc? how long does AF usually take after a mc?
It's so hard because obviously I really want to be PG ( and to keep it!) biut I don;t want to get excited and then it all just be weird hormonal stuff.
Any advice?:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Sorry to learn of your M/C - its not something that I've ever experienced so I'm unable to advise whether or not the symtoms that you have are related to that, but If you do think that you could be pregnant there is only one way to find out - go and buy a test and get peeing on a stick girl !!!
Seriously, though,if you do a test at least you'll know either way.
Best of luck X0 -
Skintchick, you could well be pg. My friend got pg while waiting for her period after her miscarriage and is now happily 18 weeks pregnant! Just do the test, best to know, eh? Rather than torture yourself?
And Lilo, sorry to hear your news (((hugs)))0 -

Hi Lilo - sorry it didn't take - it sounded so positive. I really hope you get what you want, and that it won't take much longer.0

Hi, can I join your gang!
My DH and I have been trying for a baby for just over 3 years. I always thought it would just 'happen' for us but have now reached the emotional point where I am quite prepared to stick needles into myself every day if that would make it happen.
I'm 31 and DH is 51. He had a vasectomy after his children from his first marriage were born. When we wanted it reversed we were told it wouldn't work so they wouldn't do it. We went privately up to a clinic in Cleveland and it was a total success. I then thought everything would work but I've now has blood tests and an ultrasound and everything seems ok. DH's count is a bit low but the Dr isn't concerned. We've now been referred to the hospital after practically bullying our Dr to take the whole thing seriously. Strating to feel very sad and weepy again (like I did when I found out my lil sis was pregnant - so difficult being really pleased for her and totally gutted myself).
Hoping for lots of support0 -

welcome to the thread jojo.
You'll be sure to get lots of support here - we may not be overwhelmed with BFP's but we make up for it with empathy and enthusiasum !!
All of us here have faced the realisation that all the Bding in the world probably isn't going to work, and are now at the stage of going "the scientific route" which in turn starts a whole new roller coaster of emotions, which however hard you try for it not to,it still seems to dominate your life.
All the waiting around for appointments and tests seems to take forever doesn't it ? You seem to spend years trying not to get pregnant, then life seems to play the joker when you spend years trying to get pregnant .0
