Well, they finally rang me at 4.30 - and - a BFN - no surprise really as I really didnt have the symptoms that I knew I should have.

I am gutted, but also surprisingly accepting - I think that over the week I felt the symptoms gradually ebbing away and kind of came to terms with it but I still hoped against hope that I was wrong.

Anyway, onwards and upwards and keep BDing!!!!

Good luck to you all, may you be luckier than I!!!!!!!!!!

    Lilo

Oh lilo,I'm gutted for you,I wish that I could try to say the right thing, but I know absolutely nothing anybody says or does will make you feel any better right now.

Hugs to you and Mr lilo, take care of each other, and try to remember that the here and now is whats important,You and Him.

I'm back at the clinic tomorrow to get the results of my ovarian reserve test, and subject to these to start the monitoring for my IUI cycle. This was also my first month using a Clearblue Fertility monitor and I was a bit surprised that it claimed I was in "High Fertility" today which is only day 7 of my cycle. Reading the instructions though it looks like it often flags high fertility far too early in the first month you use it, but gets more accurate as it builds up a profile over a few months as to what is normal for you.

It's also my 40th birthday later this week, and I'm really hoping I don't get the news that I am on the brink of menopause or have poor quality eggs due to my age just before my birthday. For some reason, I didn't feel old when we started ttc again aged 38, but now that we are still trying aged all but 40 I feel positively past it!

See, when we do succeed, we can use the pushchairs as zimmerframes as we toddle round the park in our slippers!

I'm also using a CB monitor and I'm just starting my 3rd month. In my first month I too had a high status early on, day 9 for me and it stayed high for 16 days. I got no peak status at all.
In second month I got high on days 15 & 16, peak on days 17 & 18, high on day 19 then back to low on day 20.

During first month I panicked as I hadn't got a peak status but then read the instructions properly and realised it was normal for at least the first month :rotfl:

  • Hi everyone,

Not been contributing to this forum as I have been suffering with the TTC blues and it doesn't look like I am OVing this month again (CB monitor has told me anyway, although it is only the third month of monitoring and it has only registered one OV month since I started monitoring). Was sure last month that I was going to get a BFP, but then slowly it became obvious that wasn't the case, a test eventually proved this was the case. I so wanted to have some good Christmas news - silly really.

We have an appointment with the Fertility Specialist next Monday and OH is barely speaking to me, let alone anything else :(

Paranoia is at fever-pitch here and I am not sleeping again.

    Sorry to be a misery.

Best wishes to Lilo. Hope the appt went well Nicki. + thoughts to everyone else too.
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

Oh Lilo Hun, words can't express...... I'm so so sorry, I was hoping so hard for you, and I know everyone on here was too.

I do understand what you meant - I felt the same when I had the FET - you kinda 'know' but so want to be wrong.

Take care, and be good to yourself. It's a nasty detour on the old TTC Rollercoaster, but when you are ready you can rejoin the main track.

Huge (((HUGS))) Hun, and please feel free to PM me if you want to.
