What do think of the idea of having a PG thread for us 'fertility-challenged' ladies? I don't want to tempt fate by starting one yet, but Somnium & a couple others seem keen? Hope all is well with you anyhow Hun!

The PG thread is long, and it can be hard to catch up if you don't read it regularly (!) but it is a broad church, and there are ladies on there who have had problems ttc, those who've had other losses, first timers, fifth timers and those who conceived by accident. So there's usually someone there who can give the answer if you have any niggle or query.

What I found when I got my BFP was that the first trimester was a really anxious time, and I didn't post much on the PG thread though I read it and other forums to start off with. I soon dropped the other forums though, because when you are anxious yourself and have been through a lot to get to the starting point, it really throws you if you read about others having losses, and you worry even more about every little niggle and ache. The big PG thread on here is much more upbeat, and for some reason easier to read and cope with.

I think that since the 12 month thread started there have been 4 (maybe 5) of us who currently have a BFP, and we're all at different stages. A 12 month PG thread, especially for those in the first few months, might actually be quite a difficult thing emotionally, because you get to know each others online personalities so well on this thread, and it could get quite intense for everyone if one of such a small number had a rollercoaster ride.

I just raise this for people to think about, because I can recall still how vulnerable you can feel in those first few months, and how easily something which you think will be a support to you, actually turns into the opposite.

    Good luck though to everyone.

Well oh got the results of his sperm analysis (the doctor seemed worryingly excited by the joy of sperm - think a slightly more disturbing Mr Wonka) - they're the same level of rubbishness as the sperm in most of the population so completely normal. Joked on I'd go get a gold star sticker and stick it on his you-know-what but my teacher bag was out in the car boot so didn't bother!

So his little factory is achieving production targets, he's passed his swimmer exam, my hormone levels are normal (after about 5 blood tests and numerous attempts at getting veins)... next one to eliminate is the scan of my plumbing at the end of next week... then the doc wants to do an internal (and has managed to catch me for the smear I've been putting off at the same time!) before we're at the end of the road for what's available for us.

Well, god luck everyone - I want lots of good news when I am back! I have checked in online and in 5 hours I will be on the plane.

The only problem that I got a killer headache and feeling a bit sick, but hope it will go away soon (it seems to be a history with me going away and feeling so ill, that I don't recover for a couple of months afterwards, but I am sure it will not be like that this time!!!!!)

Poor toniq. This sort of thing drives me mad. Professionals shouldn't make promises that aren't going to be kept. I'm sure the only reason you got your heart set on this is because you were told it was what you could expect. If they hadn't promised anything you would have known all along that it was up in the air, and that helps you get your head around it.

Is there a friend who can take you away for the evening? Give you a chance to vent face to face with each other and give you and OH a break from each other's company. And keep ranting here all you like, we all need it sometimes.
Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o

Toniq, I'm sitting here crying with you, that's such pants news. But with the best will in the world, there isn't (and most likely wasn't) much your OH could do about it, so vent your anger and frustrations, but don't freeze him out for too long - he is only a man after all! Hope you can get something sorted hun, or at least that the wait isn't extended by too much, x

Ginvzt, enjoy your holiday. I'm not jealous at ALL !!!!

Dizziblonde, sounding good, well done and gold star duly awarded to your OH!

My OH has been on the phone in tears, says he isn't having a good day at all. Why does he have to be so far away when he most needs a cuddle? So I suspect another long journey ahead for me this weekend, x

    Hi everyone

I have been watching this thread for ages but never posted so I just thought it was time I said hi!

We have been trying for a baby for around 19 months now and I have just had my first hcg injection after 5 months of clomid 100mg. I have PCOS and problems with my tubes due to lots of abdominal operations.

Clomid has been fun for my DH, I turn into a psycho lady every month! Sending lots of baby dust to everyone x

Bad luck on the clomid side effects, but it sounds as if you have an understanding OH! Hope your latest injection works for you.

Hope you stay with us and post rather than going back to lurkdom.
