    Afternoon all,

Lots of lovely news :)Lilo I'm sooo pleased for you :) & Nicki - glad the 3 month scan went well, hoping I won't need the book & this month will be the one, but if not I will definitely be buying it!

Any news from AnnieM? I'm keeping my fingers & everything else crossed for you, we need a BFP!

No news here, I'm on CD15, BD'd 11, 12, 13 but missed last night (grr). Think I ov around CD20 though so will just carry on like this for another 10 days or so, in case it's late! Here's hoping. Imagine if we crack it this month...we'll have Christmas babies :) How lovely...aah, must snap out of dream world & do some work!!

ETA: How did I miss that - Ginvzt you've got your cat! Ahhh enjoy - how old is he?

    Hope everyone is alright,

    xxxx

I know we are progressing to the next stage and it is good to get there. Our GP is very good - he has been there himself, and now has a beautiful baby (saw a photo on his desk). Well, at least he is on our side!!!! I hope we can keep him at the new address - need to call the surgery to change address next week, once we actually start living there.

Oh , and the new family member will be very welcome (named Toby at the moment). This move is taking my mind of ttc and that is good. I do need a break, or I'll get crazy!!!!! Although, house is so big now, that I wouldn't mind a patter of tiny feet around to fill it up a bit more!!!!![/quote]

You've got the patter of tiny feet - X4 !!!!!!!!!

    Hi Everyone!
I've not been on in a while as I've been trying soooo hard to put this whole damn ttc thing to the back of my mind. It's not stopped me having a sneaky look though from time to time.
    Great news Lilo!!!! :T
Welcome anyone new to the thread...
    Congrats on the kitty ginvst
Everything crossed for AnnieM and CaFCGirl - and everyone else, of course!
I'll pop back to have a proper read of everyone's news soon, so apologies if I've missed something important!

I'm still going to try not to pop in too often, but couldn't resist just sneaking on to share some exciting news... DH has NOT been taking his mini-Matterhorn (excuse the pun :D ) of vitamins in vain: we just got his 2nd sample results through and his concentration has nearly doubled, and progressive motility has increased from 45% to 60% :T .

So, having started this week on a downer because AF arrived, I'm now feeling much more positive about things in general and this has really cheered me up. Also, the fertility clinic confirmed our next steps should we decide to go down the IUI/IVF route (still undecided there but think IVF might be winning), and basically if we get the ball rolling after Easter, if it all goes smoothly I could possibly be getting a BFP by the summer....... it suddenly all seems quite scary!!

Well, I had something waiting for when I got home - a letter from NHS saying to choose the hospital and make an appointment. The strange thing is it doesn't state anything about the problem, just the list of hospitals and the numbers to call - did you all had it like this?

I am feeling a bit down. Wouldn't say upset or depressed, just need to digest this. I knew we would get it, but now it came, it is sort of hit me hard. Might be back tomorrow or later tonight asking for recommendations on where to go.

    Hi Ginvtz,

Has your GP just referred you because of how long it has taken, so that they can do some more tests to find out if there's anything else that might be causing it not to happen for you?

I have found the NHS to be very cold and impersonal on this subject so far, to be honest, but then they have manage to mess up our referral pretty badly, so I'm probably not the best person to speak about it. It does really get my back up that they keep saying 'INfertility clinic' - it feels like a little extra twist of the knife every time I hear that!

    Well......

...still no AF. Had a rubbish night's sleep and ended up taking my temp an hour earlier than normal, but it was higher than yesterday (but I don't know if that might be cos I slept so badly).

I have to admit I finally caved in and tested with a cheapie this morning (I have the resistance of a wet tissue when it comes to POAS :rotfl:), and I think (but neither me nor DH are 100% sure) that there was a very very faint pink line!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are being very cautious at the moment, until I test again tomorrow morning (or later tonight if I just can't bear the waiting), but I'm sure it wasn't the antibody strip I could see - it looked a shade of pink, rather than matt against the shiny strip, and it was after 5 mins, which is when the tests said to check (and I've done several of these before) I just hope I wasn't seeing it because I wanted to see it.

I'm in free-fall now, waiting to see if it's really real. I've been a wreck all day at work, and I don't know how I'm going to manage to sleep tonight! :rotfl:

Hugs and sticky baby dust to all of us!

Hiya, this is what I had last year. All to do with you being able to choose (except my options were limited to hospitals outside my county due to their appointments being so booked up!).

    All very clinical isn't it?

Don't feel down. I think we all feel like this from time to time. I went through a blue phase in December/January but am better now.
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

The waiting time for fertility clinic referrals can be quite long,so ask your GP which clinic has the shortest waiting time.
In theory it should be 18 weeks from GP referral to treatment (including any diagnostic tests that are needed),but unfortunately this isn't always the case - but it really does depend on your health authority.

Sorry, I didn't want to put you on "a downer",but sometimes it can be worth a bit of extra "travelling time" just to get an appointment sooner.
