Thanks AnnieM for the advice and good wishes.
I was 4 days late and I know I ov'd as I get a dull ache. Trust my body to do something confusing at the one time when I'm supposed to be taking tablets on certain cycle days!0 -
Morning all,
Hope everyone is alright & had a lovely weekend? Weather is nice and bright today, helping to cheer up an otherwise miserable Monday morning!
Any news AnnieM?
That's a nice story BecsI love the tales of happiness!! I'm really concerned about being offered surgery though...it's the last thing I want in case it goes wrong
Hoping & praying that the medication does everything...
I was told by a family friend (a doctor) that I should be upping my intake of calcium, apparently prolactin controlling drugs can stop calcium absorbing as efficiently as normal? Not sure how much is known on it, but he told me as a family friend offering friendly advice so I'm inclined to think he knows plenty that I don't and am presently chugging milk like there's no tomorrow!!
I'm on CD13 today, the BDing began on CD11 and will carry on until CD 28...just to cover all bases & possibilities
xxxBaby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -
Hi Gymfriend,
No I hadn't heard that about the calcium but it wouldn't surprise me my endo is totally useless! Only answers questions and never offers information! So if I don't know what to ask I don't get information! I'm like you on the surgery, whilst it's only my af's and fertility that have been mucked up by the tumour I'm extremely reluctant to undergo surgery which could damage the pituitary gland and make things worse. My latest tests show new double doseage is currently working again so fingers crossed it stays like that long enough for us to get our BFP this time. Are you on cabergoline? Have you had your levels done recently?0 -
Hi,
My temp this morning was right back up to just above where it was the day before yesterday. The spotting seems to have stopped, but my belly feels 'heavy' and it has felt 'twinge-y' IYKWIM, but that could be AF on her way. I just don't know what to think anymore. I had totally given up on this cycle and now this...
Tomorrow is going to be such a tough day. I don't know whether to test or not tomorrow. I probably won't believe it if it's neg. I am just so desperate to see that line! I'm hoping and praying that my temp won't drop tomorrow or Wednesday (AF is due Wednesday). I wish I didn't have to work the next couple of days - I could do with some 'me' time, although it would only be filled by me obsessing
Hope you're all ok.

Morning Ladies,
Just catching up with you all.
AnnieM Any news yet ? Got everything crossed for you !
Everyone else seems a little fed up - This TTC malarkey does get to you after a bit (or a few years in my case) sometimes I just wish it wasn't so important to me & the longing would go away,so I could move on and get a puppy or something.lol
At the moment I'm trying desperately to loose the weight that I put on during my last IVF cycle, mind you I do think that it was more because I spent 2 weeks lying on the sofa eating chocolate than the drugs !!!.Anyway I'm trying to run every day at the mo (omg my legs ache) so that I'll be fit and raring to start treatment.
I've got my Drug prescription and got a quote from the Drug company,£671.32:eek: - but at least thats cheaper than from the clinic or local chemist !!!
Anyway, must get some work done,so baby dust to you all.

I had my 12 week scan today, and all is well, so thought I could maybe come back and tell what finally worked for us, after all those months of trying. If anyone thinks that's insensitive though, please do tell me, and I'll come back and delete this post pronto.
As the oldies on the board may remember, our problems were (for me) that I had PCOS and a large fibroid and was a bit older (aged 40) and (for DS) that he had low sperm count and a higher than normal amount of abnormal sperm. After trying for nearly 2 years to conceive naturally and 1 failed IUI we had been advised the only viable option was IVF with ICSI and that the chances of success were low.
We went out and bought the Marilyn Grenville book "Getting Pregnant Faster" and we both followed religiously her diet recommendations to improve fertility. For me that meant a low oestrogen diet, and the recommendations for him were not too dissimilar - so no processed foods (including flour), no red meat, limited dairy, no alcohol or caffeine. OH took a good multivitamin and omega acids (specific blend recommended by health shop for male fertility). I took a different multi vitamin, agnus castus and dandelion root for the fibroid and PCOS, folic acid, extra zinc.
I continuted to use my clearblue fertility monitor, and the month we conceived, I started to take Robuttisin on the first day I showed high fertility and continued until the last fertile day was over. I took the maximum safe daily dosage, and it really did thin my CM very quickly.
TMI coming up, but OH was finding it a bit hard to perform after all the stresses of the last many months, so I helped him along by hand on two of the CB monitor fertile days, then rubbed the outcome on the tip of my cervix. The other two days we did things the normal way, so who knows what actually did the trick!
We bd'd every day the monitor said we had a chance. Had no symptoms at all prior to BFP, unlike in previous months, and got BFP 3 days before AF was due (testing on the off chance with no expectation of success).
From being told no chance without IVF to BFP was 2 months and we weren't doing any of the diet, supplements, etc until we were told we wouldn't be able to conceive.
Hope this may help someone else, and give hope to those who are getting discouraging news from the doctors at the moment.0 -
Hi All
AnnieM - fingers crossed for you. It's about time for another BFP don't you think?
Nicki - Thanks for the info. Not TMI really as we all so much want a BFP and they're the sort of things that don't get talked about. Good luck with being a Mummy; somehow when someone gets their BFP on here I don't feel envious at all but proud of them. Will now have to go out and buy a copy of the book!0 -
Thanks for this Nicky, I am sure everyone else on this thread would join me in wishing you all the best in your pregnancy, and congrats on safely reaching 12 weeks. I certainly dont find your post insensitive and thank you for still thinking of us!!
On to other news - I HAVE THE ALL CLEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The op was a complete success and I am now, officially cancer free!!! So, come September I shall be bding with renewed vigour!! I mst admit though, following on from Nikys post, over the next months when I cant get pregnant, I am going to concentrate on my diet, and follow a fertility friendly diet, lose a bit of weight and get in shape. When I got preg last year, I was on a similar diet, and I do believe it is a factor in fertility. I mainly avoided wheat and dairy ( I am dairy intolerant) and tbh I felt sooo much better.
Anyhow, any news AnnieM??
