    Thanks Gymfriend,

I was being tested every 3 months. I saw endo before xmas and he asked for a routine blood test then just to check and it was picked up on then that the prolactin had gone up again. He rung me in january to change the doseage and said to have a blood test 6 weeks later which was this one last week. I've left a message for him advising him of the levels now as had it checked at GP and he is now on leave. So I'm not sure what he will advise regarding further blood tests now. Did you finally get onto the pituitary forum yet?

Good luck tomorrow Jiblets, my friend conceived her beautiful little girl the same month she had her HSG!

Hey Jiblets hope everything is going ok fo you today. Well just popped in to say my drugs arrived on saturday, so thats one part of the waiting game over. There are a few more than I thought and reading the info leaflet that came with the menupur (sp) am a little nervous about doing the injections eek! Am sure the nurse at the hospital will show me how to do it and set me at ease so wont panick too much. So just to see if AF behaves her self now and turns up on time ready to start pill on April 22nd.

Hi all, thanks for the good wishes. HSG was fine, it did hurt quite a bit, but the hurt only lasted about 20/30 seconds. It wasn't as bad I thought. The lady told me that she definately sees "spill" on one side (which is good) but she thought not on the other side. So I quite possibly do have a problem where I had appendicitus when I was younger. The consultant will tell me properly when I go for my results in TEN WEEKS!! Can't believe it's so long, but I'm very pleased the lady told me her opinion straight away. I'm wondering if it's something they'll want to deal with or just to let it be. I'm working on the assumption now that I'm successfully ovulating every other month, so that could explain why it's taking a little longer...

    Hi All

Ten weeks seems a really long time to get results. Our specialist gave them to us at the time. We did have another meeting about 6 weeks later where we discussed what would happen next and I was given Clomid.

Speaking of which, am on CD30 and looking forward to AF as I can then start on the Clomid. Pretty sure I'm out for this month as I got hideously drunk at a friends birthday right on ov day, despite promising myself I'd be sensible, and have felt like AF is due for the last few days.

Am very excited as we are going to Disneyland next month. Have been waiting for years as I always thought we would take our children but seeing as we haven't managed to have any yet I have decided that I don't want to miss out so will probably be the only couple there without children! I have every intention of having my photo taken with as many characters as possible and joining in the parade (and probably still worrying about whether I've ov'd or not, what I'm eating, drinking, how often we're bding etc etc).

Is there a point, do you think, where you can genuinely say it'll happen or it won't and be able to deal with that as, I've got visions of continuing with everything I can until I get my BFP, or medical science can't do anything any more?

    Hi everyone!

Hope you're all ok. How are you, Jiblets?

I'm fed up of waiting to find out if/when my referral goes through from the docs. I've heard nothing about anyone bothering about the issues on my side, but we will go to the appt with the male fertility specialist that was booked in my name because gynae didn't understand there were issues on both sides - I'm just going to take DH with me and hope that starts the ball rolling!

I'll have to wait until I go back for my prolactin repeat again (the lab forgot to do the last one) and then insist that someone find out what is happening. I need to know that the referral is going through properly this time, and that gynaecology are going to give me an appointment. I just can't believe they can get things so badly wrong. I feel like we're never going to have a baby on our own, and that if the NHS can mess things up at this basic stage, we'll never get pg at all. We can't afford to go private.

Sorry for ranting - I've just kind of given up for now. I'm still charting bbt etc but not paying as much attention to what cd I'm on etc. I'm looking on it as an info gathering exercise for when we see the consultant(s), as it seems obvious it's not going to happen naturally!

    ((((hugs)))) to all,

    AnnieM x
  • Somnium - the jabs are not too bad when you get used to them - Honest! I don't like needles but we managed fine (DH jabs me - no-way I can stick needles in myself!). Find it really useful to rub the area with an ice-cube or hold a cool-pack on it for a few moments first to numb the area, then you hardly feel it at all (and I don't do the inhalations, so I have jabs all the way through, and 2 lots a day when I am stimming!).

Well done Jiblets - and it seems like you may have part of your answer already. Maddening to have to wait another 10 weeks tho.....

Anniem - can quite see why you are so mad with the NHS - maybe time for a real rant at them? Could you write a stiff letter of complaint to your PCT, and copy it to your local counsellor & MP (putting a note on the bottom to let them know who you have copied it to!). Couldn't hurt and might spur them to action.

JoJo - wish I was going to Disney, I've always wanted to too.....

Nottlass - thanks, we had a lovely meal in a local restaurant, and a few drinks in the pub too!
We have agreed to delay a month due to hols (well, we have agreed now - when I raised it with DH he thought we had already agreed, when actually it was just him!). I'm on CD28 today, so if AF plays ball and arrives in a couple of days time, then we'll start again with my next cycle which should start around 13th April, so day 19 would be 2nd May = Norehisterone, and day 21 would be 4th May = Buseralin, etc, etc, with EC around the beginning of June, so IF it all worked then = baby around this time next year (not that I have been counting or working it out of course - Ha Ha - as if!!!!!!!!!!!!!).
If we get as far as healthy embies then we are going for Blastocysts this time - slightly less chance of getting to ET stage, but more chance of success afterwards if we do. I'm also going to be on double-dose folic acid and mini aspirins from EC stage until 2 weeks after test day.

I've seen the counsellor again this week, and been to a group session last nite (where we were the oldest & most 'experienced' there  ) and it both seems to be really helping. Last nite's subject was weight, and I had a bit of a 'disagreement' with the 'specialist gynaecologist' over the BMI issue and some of the stats she was bandying about (you know what they say about "lies, da*n lies and statistics"......).
I think it is really positive that last nite I didn't get upset - I got cross! - which is much more me back to my old self again! And today I feel quite positive (although P'd off to have to be in wo*k!!!!!).

(((HUGS))) to everyone, have a good day!

    Hi Ladies.

    I'm confused...nothing new there though :D

Last cycle I got peaks on my CBFM on days 23 & 24 so had a 38 day cycle. This month I didn't ov at all so expected to either have AF late again or not have AF at all. Well to my surprise I had AF start late on day 28.
Though when I look at my calendar and work dates out I am about on time. I figured if last month hadn't been so long then this month would have been so short....IYSWIM.

Have finished the trial now so the monitor is all packed up ready to post back. Seems odd the last couple of mornings not having to pee in a jug :rotfl:

Hi FE,We (finally) got a reply from the embryologist re our BLastocyst transfer, and she basically said that for my age group, the success rate is about 50 % and about 60-70% for under 35's !!!!
She said that the very fact we got to Blasto transfer is a good indication that my eggs are of a good quality,so,fingers crossed, our next cycle will produce that elusive BFP !!!!
BTW, they collected 10 eggs ,9 fertilised and 2 made it to blasto, although I'll admit it was a long 5 days wait to see if any would make it.
At our clinic they offer Blastoyst transfer to the over 40's who have produced 8 or more eggs.
