    AnnieM,

I'm quite new to this thread so still trying to remember who has what issues! If I remember correctly you said you had raised prolactin? I found my temps were a nightmare and always confused me because of my prolactin issues. If it were me I wouldn't get my hopes up but would test just to be sure and put my mind at rest.

To all those awaiting the HSG, I've not gone down this route yet as sorting out my tumour before investigating anything else first. But I just wanted to say my friend tried for 2 years to conceive and had all sorts of tests before the HSG, then the same month she had her HSG she conceived. She now has a beautiful 3 month old baby girl. I read somewhere that they're not sure if it is coincidental but conception does seem to increase after HSG, so keep this in mind rather than the nasty bits of it. Good luck to those of you having it.

Thanks - yes I did/do have elevated prolactin (the doc said it wasn't extremely high, and that I seem to be ov-ing - I have a re-test tomorrow and I'm hoping it'll have gone down a bit!). I just wish I could be 'normal' for once! :rotfl:
  • Good to see so many of you moving forward with your fertility appointments and glad HSGs are not too painful.

Thanks for the goodwishes Notslass, and good luck with the loan - but I suggest that you uncross your legs if you want to get pregnant!!!

Omg I got a BFP this morning. I did 3 tests just to make sure. Still doesn't feel real. Have to 2 weeks now before I can get a doctors appointment to confirm. I've waited 2 years, 7 months and 25 days for this. I thought it would never come. Just to keep fingers crossed now that everything is ok.
And of course fingers crossed for all of you.

AnnieM- I took my own time off from my employer until I had to have operation and then I had to tell them just in case I had to stay in overnight and I did so it's a good job I told them. Since that they've been fine. Appointments were once every 3 months and now they are nearly once a month.

Massive congratulations Pa2539! :j :j :j That's brought a tear to my eye! I was finding it so difficult reading about all the BFP's on the TTC forum because everyone had only been there for 5 minutes! How heartening it is to read about yours when it is obviously so longed for!I really wish you all the best for the coming months and hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy.
  • Another BFP - how exciting! Congratulations Pa2539 :j

Jiblets - our hospital will only do HSGs before CD10 and not while you're still bleeding. I had to call the hospital on the first day of AF and they'd tell me if I could have an appointment. Unfortunately they only do them on a Tues morning, so timing was all important. For once AF was thankfully late otherwise timing for me would have been totally wrong! It might not hurt just to give them a call to double-check the procedure.
  • Hi, I don't post on this thread as I have only just started ttc (and I'm more of a lurker than a poster) but I heard something on the radio recently about Hughes Syndrome which can be a cause of recurrent miscarriage. As far as I could gather it seemed fairly straightforward to test for and to treat but apparently lots of GPs are unaware of it. Just thought if any of you have had two or more unexplained miscarriages it might be something to look into. It obviously won't be relevant to all of you but I thought it might be of interest to someone. It was on Woman's Hour on Radio 4 but I'm sure google will have lots more info.
  • Sorry, also meant to say good luck to all of you. I really hope you get your BFPs.

Hi, I was tested for this several times and they couldn't confirm that I had or had not got a blood condition. My consultant advised us to be treated as if I had so I was offered low dose Aspirin and Heparin injections. I didn't do the latter (needle phobic) but did take the Aspirin which I firmly believe gave me my DS2 and DS3. Many GPs aren't aware of the benefits of low dose Aspirin for recurrent miscarriages; often alternative options aren't given until the consultant stage which tend to happen when there has already been a lot of heartache...

    Wishing you all well.

    Hi everyone :hello:

    Congrats everyone with good news!!!

I feel really down in the dumps today :( Im on a diet because the doctor said i need to do all I can to help things along, but Im hardly eating anything and Im starving and grumpy all the time. I keep getting dizzy spells because my blood sugar levels are too low but Im in a vicious circle... I know if I eat nice stuff I wont stop  When I was on my way home from work today I lingered with intent outside Greggs :D but then a pregnant woman walked past and it reminded me why I cant have nice things... but im fed up and mad with myself now.... feel a bit useless.

I've told a few people I work with my situation and they've been fantastic, so encouraging and supportive, but I doubt I'll get time off... my ward manager is so mean she begrudges allowing anyone time off for anything!!!!!!!
