Thanks Jiblets - I think I would rather be honest and up-front with my bosses too. I might talk to the union about how to address the issue before I do it (IF I have to do it!)...
I'm not surprised you feel your work is part of the problem - teaching isn't exactly known for being stress-free! I hope if you do see a fertility counsellor that they will understand that, and help you work through the job stress as well as the ttc stress!

Morning Ladies,
Hope that everyone had a nice weekend, with plenty of BDing !!!!
Well we've applied for a loan to cover another IVF cycle,I just hope that the bank says "yes" ,if it doesn't then it the end of the journey for me, Because s I don't think my "geriatric ovaries" will wait until I've saved up.
We emailed the fertility clinic with a couple of the questions that we forgot to ask at our follow up appointment,so hopefully they'll reply in the next couple of days,TBH we need straight answers re our chances, Dr's seem very good at talking in general terms and not being too specific !!!
So whether of not we go for another attempt is now in the hands of others, and if we don't get the answers that we want, its time to accept that it wasn't to be, and move on,although thats easier said than done - at the moment I've still got hope.
Anyway,as I'm trying to think positive, and get fit for more treatment,so I went for a run (well run/walk ) as I haven't done any exercise since ET in December and need to loose the 10lbs I've put on since !!! OMG it was hard,I don't think that I've any energy left for BDing.
AnnieM,My boss was great when I told her that I needed time off,I told a couple of other colleagues that I was having treatment, and they were understanding too.I think that not telling anybody would be so hard, one minute you are really excited, the next hormonal and moody.
Lilo, thinking of you, and have got everything crossed (yep, even my legs.lol.)that its good news.
gymfiend, congratulations, its lovely to have some good news on the thread.

Good luck with the loan nottslass, hopefully it'll come through without any problems
Good luck with the fitness campaign too!!
jiblets you're absolutely not using the resource incorrectly, work stress is impacting your fertility so that's what needs tackling. I'm sure people go to see them with all sorts of weird and wonderful things to discuss that cause stress!
Thinking of you this morning bunnie - hope everything has gone ok, xx
I'm on CD28, and no AF yet, though my stomach is in absolute agony, has been for about 4 days, it's an absolute nightmare!

HSG wasn't as bad as I expected. There were 2 other women on the same session as me. The nurse came and talked us through the procedure and we got given 4 x 250mg antibiotics to take. The first lady was in there ages and a gynae had to be called.
I had taken some brufen before going so think that helped. They were really nice and the whole procedure for me was about 5/10 minutes. The consultant radiologist was so rough with the speculum, but other than that everything was fine. Had a sharp sensation when the balloon was inflated and mild pains when the dye was injected but I am pleased to say my tubes are clear. I've got quite sharp crampy pains now though.
So just a waiting game now to see the consultant on the 30th0 -
Thanks for the info on your HSG Bunnie. I'm feeling stupidly stressed about mine - roll on 10.00 tomorrow morning when it'll all be over! Good to know that it most people find it relatively painless.
Annie, I've been upfront with my employer. I work for a tiny company anyway, and have only 20 days holiday (including Xmas) which I 'selfishly' want to use for holidays rather than appointments  . They have been very understanding so far. I share an office with two other girls who both already have children and they also know - I find it less stressful knowing that they know than I would if I tried to keep it quiet and make excuses for the time off.0 -
Best thing I can suggest nikkinoo which helped me loads was to get a good night sleep and keep your morning routine the same up until the point you have to go to the hospital.
Annie, I think I have had it relatively easy with my employer because another girl in my office has been through the procedure so was easier to bring up the subject. Although saying that, my work are difficult when booking just general holidays. What I have been doing up until now is taking the time I need and making up the hours, although due to the credit crunch my MD has said he is happy for anyone to take unpaid leave if needed.0 -
Great news that your tubes are clear BunnieBaby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0

Hello All
Haven't caught up for a week so welcome all the newbies. Seems a lot of us are at around the same point in our investigation (I had by HSG only a month ago).
Bought a Clearblue Monitor last week and gleefully unwrapped it to realise I needed to wait for CD 1 to start with it - obvious if I'd thought about it really. Have told DH that when it says we should be BDing then we must. I haven't been saying to OH about timings because I felt it would put him off but then I was getting angry when he was tired at the 'wrong time'. So we shall see if this at least solves the timing problems or puts him off completely!!! TTC seems to take the romance away a bit I must say
On CD 14 so nothing at all to report, start clomid next month (which i guess may muck up the clearblue but hey ho). Wishing everyone lots of BFPs and babydust and all positive baby vibes!0 -
Did you all realise that clomid ups your chance of multiples? I had no idea till I read the paperwork this week. A 1 in 6 chance! Now this in no way makes me want to not go on the clomid, but it was a real shock to read! I didn't think that would be something I would have to consider unless we go down the IVF route.
How long did you all have to wait for you HSGs? My initial appointment was wednesday, and I was told that we'd sort out the HSG straight away, and that xray would contact me to arrange an appointment. I've heard nothing yet, and I'm wondering on time scales so I can judge when I need to start pestering people. I'd hate to be waiting patiently then realise I'd just been forgotten!Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0 -
Thanks for the advice guys!
I'm very confused today - my temps have actually gone up, despite being at the end of this short AF - I have actually only have one temp below my coverline since I ov'd, and that was cd2 - but it was the day I had to get up an hour earlier than usual, so my temp was off anyway... I'm wondering what on earth is going on - maybe I could be one of the few who get af for the first couple of months of pg?
What do you think ladies? If bbt is high again tomorrow morning, should I test, or am i just being silly?
