Congrats!

Yep it is perfectly normal I am afraid. You can see the midwife but your booking will not be until 8 weeks and the doc won't confirm anything with you - they take your word for it! It isn't very reassuring when it is your first but it is so routine to them.

Up to you who you tell and when. I told some close friends early on but not many as I wanted to reach the relative safety of 12/13 weeks first!
