    Hi, :)

For pictures you have to upload them to a host website and then you can link straight to them. There are some instructions in sra's A-Z guide which is a sticky on the This Site forum... but the shortcut straight there is in the link

Had to wait in this morning for the water board. They insisted that there must be something wrong with my meter as I dont use enough water for 3 people. They came round and guess what, theres nothing wrong with my meter at all. It was just their excuse to put my payments up.

Got a few things I needed from town. Later on I have got to take the puppy to the vets for its first vaccination. Were having pork done in the slow cooker tonight.

    Hi everyone
Normal busy mumsy sort of day- WM on and load now out and drying. Spent a lovely day down on the beach yesterday- it was gorgeous weather so we perfected our frisbee throwing technique. Truly OS as took flasks and lunches with us but then there isn't a shop within walking distance anyway. Got home to find my Mum had dropped off a load of Xmas goodies she'd won in the school bazaar. Am also very pleased because a friend and I had a swap round of clothes neither of us wear now so I've gained a couple of new skirts. Two happy bunnies!!
Am planning to make some choc crunchies when I get home and then settle down to watch Strictly Come Dancing Take Two as I missed it on Sat. Will also need to tackle some more mending jobs but will make the time pass more quickly with a large glass of white wine [such a waste to cook with it!!]
    Cheerio

An unexpected day off for me today. The office I've been temping in is right in front of the oil depot in Hemel Hempstead...
It's a mainly glass building, and all the glass has been blown out. I'm just glad the explosion wasn't during working hours, or I would probably have been blown out too
Temporary accommodation is being arranged, but it will take a few days to get set up, so I won't be working as many hours this week. I've taken advantage of the extra time off to get my ebay and Amazon listings up to date, so hopefully there will still be some cash coming it.

Well I've had a relatively productive day off work.

    Balanced my accounts.

Washed and tumble dried a load of washing.

    Washed up my freezer/lunch boxes.

Made another spicy sausage casserole, this time in the SC (now simmering away).

    Watched Martin's show :money:

Went to the shops and picked up lots of Christmas odds and ends, including a lovely big (750g) brandy Christmas pud at Lidl for not much more than the basic Tesco 454g one with no brandy in it.

Just got to make some inroads on the tip that is my bedroom, and write my Christmas cards...

Oh no, dont get me started on xmas cards. DD1 (3) has done them for her friends at preschool this year. I bought a pack of 15 (or rather a friend who works at a card shop and get a hefty discount did for me ;) ) and wrote them out. She then proceeded to give me a school list with 60 names on it and said they were meant to do cards for all!!! My Eye!!! How much would that cost me???

I've written and sent all the NZ ones but havent yet started on the UK lot, am dreading it really. Might start doing it like Tony Blair and just scrawl a signature.

First day trying to cut down on carbs today so no HM bread, boo hoo. I have a headache and think I am suffering withdrawl. Needs to be done though, I've put on 2 stone this year!!!

Off to tackle the wrapping mountain in my bedroom, cursing myself for not having started yet.

    Chat later,

    Al.

  • Hi all,
I've been a bit busy. Work, trying to buy a house, cleaning....

Anyway it's the last full day of teaching today for me. Just revision sessions for the rest of the week & a presentation on Weds. It's our feast this weekend & we have everything except the perishable veg sorted out. Of course the guest list has now shrunk to 7 people from 12. Oh and we have discovered mice in the loft - very glad for that ressurected thread.
Still wish I could buy a TARDIS instead of a house!
