Morning to everyone.
SnowyOwl - sorry to hear about your kitten.
I'm dreading work this morning. I work for an oil company who had a depot at Hemel Hampstead, and all we will get is customers ringing up asking whats going on. As luck would have it, I have a nice bottle of wine waiting for my return home from work.
See you all later

Morning All, :rudolf:
:grouphug: to all those who didnt sleep well, are feeling poorly or just plain fed up!
Got loads of housework to do today, our house is always a bombsite on Mondays after the weekend, I dont know how full time workers with kids cope.
Still, at least I finished off the decorations yesterday and OH has wrapped most of DD's pressies, I will get him to finish off the wrapping tonight. I hate wrapping, and he uses it as a good excuse to watch the american footy he has taped whilst doing it.
DD1's digital camera arrived from Empire Stores this morning, :j (thanks to the Grabbit board!) a good bargain. Only one present left to get, which is DD2's loft bed from Ikea when they have some more in stock. I've also stocked up on all the Xmas food, just need all the veggies a few days before. I feel like Im getting there now.
Im only at work for 3 more days before I break up for 3 weeks off. :snow_grin On Thursday its DD's nativity, Sunday is the church nativity (DD2 is Mary) and church carol service and next week is DD1's choir carol concert. Also made arrangements with best friend that we are going over on Tuesday 27th to visit and then out for a meal, so loads of things to look forward to.
All I need to do is tackle my humoungous sewing pile! Last night I was turning up a pair of new black trousers (the zip gave up on the old ones) and I had pinned them up and was trying them on. I knelt down to find a video to record something and knelt on a pin which went right into my leg, I had to pull it out. I couldnt believe how much it hurt! and the rivers of blood which ran down my leg! Felt really pathetic and girly as I had to take paracetamol and put a cold compress on it, how stupid is that. _pale_
Right Im off to visit pigsback before making a start. Have a good day Old Stylers! :santa2:0 -

:xmassmile Morning everyone!
P-P - hope you feel a bit better later! Thinking of you. Hope you felt well enough to enjoy your anniversary yesterday.
Snowy owl - so sorry to hear about your cat. Mine are very old now and I dread them going! ((((hug)))
catznine - I haven't written any of mine yet either. I think it's because several of them need a letter to go in with the card, I prefer to do individual letters rather than a "round Robin", and can't get brain to work on them! Thanks for your pm, will email when I can get a bit more organised. (that'll be next year then!) Good luck at the clinic.
freyaluck - hope you are still feeling better.
Bargain Rzl - hope you found the right outfit for your concert!
Ancasta - if you read this - thinking of you.
Powie69 - I'm in SE London/NWKent area and it was definitely rather dark over to the north yesterday! Hope things go all right for you today.
Going to do roast lamb for tonight , not had that for ages. Off now to get sheets in the WM! At least then I can feel I've done something productive!
Hope everyone has a good day

This time next week will be my last day at work before christmas :j got over a week off but have to work all over new year, but this doesn't bother me as I dont drink

Morning all
(((hugs))) to all who need them
I am very behind with evrything this morning, partly due to having been out all day yesterday & part of Saturday, which was DS1's 20th & my grandma's 97th birthdays.
Most housework still to do, plus finishing writing Christmas cards & posting them.
I did write all this out once before, but as I pressed the post reply button, the whole site disappeared! At least it's back now.
Have a good day0 -
Morning all :rudolf:
Still feeling wrecked from the weekend, DD age 8 had a birthday sleepover on saturday, not an awful lot of sleeping went on!
Friday nights meal out was fun but I kept thinking "I could feed all five of us for three days on £14". This site is definately getting to me! Ticklemouse, I hope your do went well. :snow_grin
Am tidying the house v. slowly and keep having to collapse in front of the fire with a cup of Tea.
DDs present was a Simpsons Doughnut maker, its like a sandwich toaster only it makes 6 little doughnuts at a time, and (mostly) fat free because you don't have to fry them. I think I will have to go and do a quick batch for me and little DD for our elevenses.
Then I'm going to eat left over party food for lunch, and cauliflower cheese and sausages for tea.
Have a good day everyone, (((hugs))) to those who need them,

Morning all
Snowy I am so sorry to hear about your kitty
DD2 has gone back to school for the first time in a week, it's such bliss to finally have the house to myself as DH has also gone to work for the dayShame it's only till 3pm.
I'm going to allow myself on here until 11 then spend the next four hours getting as much housework done as possible so I can start baking tomorrow.
The sun is shining here and I feel really up today even though I have forgotten to take my meds again this weekend.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
