Kiwichick, try Tesco's for nice cheap cards. They have a few selections of 50 (4 designs) for £1.97 a box.

    Yet another retrospective post :o

Haven't done too badly today - had porridge for breakfast, spent less than 50p for lunch and had fish bits and chips and peas for dinner (which OH did for me :) )

Work was ok too not very exciting but it's keeping me off the streets and managed to sell a few more things at lunchtime and got £8 for it all so that was good and someone emailed me this afternoon and wants some of my other bits too - so should make my target for selling things this month :j

Been swimming again tonight - second day running so that was good - need to prepare something for tomorrow now but couldn't resist a look on here first ;) .

Hugs to all who need them - hope everyone's had a good day.

So much for OS today, I got the clearing up done (after a bad start) and got DS doing his schoolwork, then he went off to my mum's this afternoon for his art lesson.
Then DH came in early, so we went off and did our Christmas shopping - we both need new clothes so have decided to buy them for our Christmas presents, but obviously needed to try them on - so most of our presents to each other won't be a surprise! But when we came out of the shop, guess what - McDonalds is facing us across the car park. So as it was just the 2 of us, we had dinner there.
There was a sign up in there saying that their supplies came from Hemel Hempstead so some things might not be available. I ordered a caesar salad, which took a long time to arrive - I started eating it then saw the cheese ... it had green mould on it  They very quickly gave me an alternative meal, and some extra fries, so I didn't do too badly out of it.

    Morning everyone

How's everything in the world of OS today?

I'm tired today, but it's my own fault as I was making packed lunches, then wrapping pressies till gone 12, then on here till nearly 1 am then DS2 came in at 1.30 am  He's wriggled and jiggled all night.

Anyway, all up and having brekkie. It's off to the dentists at 8.50 (should be a clean bill of health) then DSs to school and I've got about 2 hours to myself before I go with DS2 and his pre-school to see a panto - The Snow Queen. Yippee, I haven't been to a panto since I was about 9 :snow_grin

So, preparations for Xmas. All pressies except 3 (and my own) wrapped, labelled and bagged in appropriate family groups, so I can grab them easier when it comes time for delivery. I've even numbered the boys' pressies so i know what is in each one. How organised am I? Erm, but I haven't finished my cards yet :snow_laug

    Brekkie - cereal and tea
    Dinner - leftover moussake
Tea - sausages and mash and veg

Off to watch the news while I drink my :coffee: Hope you all have a good day.

    TM

ps - I wonder if PP or Jo will have started this thread by the time I post? :snow_laug

    Morning!

My table came and its beautiful! Im very happy! Yesterday wasnt too bad at work, the bosses were working out holidays and Ive managed to get Monday & Tuesday next week, some in January, and im getting paid for some of it too! They worked it out wrong initially and I was very annoyed because I wasnt about to let them take my holiday off me, but its sorted and I actually had more than I thought! :j

Didnt manage to get a good nights sleep last night as I kept waking up and now im feeling pretty tired. At least there is only a few days to go to get paid then I have three long weekends off in a row too - bliss! It will be so nice to actually have time to do stuff, Ive planned shopping on Saturday morning, going out on Sunday then visitors on Monday and Tuesday. :j

I got some more money in my account today too so I think I'll go shopping on my lunch today as I need to find ribbon for the tree. Im still waiting for Royal Mail to deliver some stuff (they are delivering late at the moment!) then i'll be a very happy bunny!

Hope you all have a lovely day! :xmastree: :snow_laug :xmassmile :xmassign: :santa2: :snow_grin :rudolf:

Up at 5.25 because of bladder demands. Breakfast was pizza; lunch will be leftover Chinese chicken from last night.

My sister's coming today to do all the housework (I'm paying her).

Off to work in about 20 minutes. Work Christmas party tonight.

The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.
  • Morning all you busy people,I have my Uni lunch today at the local pub. Break up until mid january, my elbow is giving me gyp today it must be healing up. I get the stitches out next Monday thank goodness. being unable to do much is driving me up the wall. My lovely daughter came last night and did all my cards for me as I can't write at the moment. I have even got a lift organised as well as driving is off the menu until next week.At least I can have a glass of wine as I'm not driving today. Hope you all have a good day today

    Morning everyone!

I haven't got much housework done yet, but have actually done some exercise - to a Rosemary Conley video.
Lots to do today, letters to post & craft activity to prepare for kids club tomorrow evening, amongst other things.
Just off now to empty d/w, clean bathroom & clear up kitchen, but thought I would say hello to you first.
