Spent most the morning in bed again :o

But did go swimming this afternoon. Have also done 2 loads of washing and tumble dried some of the t shirts I washed yesterday that weren't quite dry.

We've put our tree up today too - :xmastree: just a little artifical one - not worth a real one when we won't be here much over Christmas, it's OH's from when he was younger but we bought some new nice bits for it from tescos and marks and spencers (spent less than £10 so not too bad). Clear light and silver/glass decorations so that's nice.

OH is just cooking Chicken in Bacon and Cheese with Roasties for dinner - a bit late but welcomed - I'm very hungry :o . Need to write a couple of Christmas cards after dinner and get ready for work tomorrow - oh and sold 2 sim cards today via small ads from work - another £2 in wedding ring fund :j

  • Evening All,
    Hope you are OK Ancasta.
Had a busy weekend, went to Birmingham yesterday as DD's were going on a canal boat trip with the brownies to "Search for Santa" had a look around the lovely german market, avoided the grotto and land train and the "street ice" what a complete rip off. Me and Birmingham City Council have exchanged sarcastic e-mails about it, so have boycotted them for the last two years. Did pop to WH Smith for theatre vouchers for the out-laws. Why do people leave their shopping so late? All the shops were heaving and boiling hot, not my idea of fun. The Xmas lights in Brum are lovely, especially around the bull ring.
Today we have been to church and DD2 is very excited as she is going to Mary in the church nativity! She has been practising all day with a towel wrapped around her head and her baby Annabell pretending to be Jesus. Ah, sweet! Now if I could just get her to behave at school life would be lovely. OH and I are going to make an appointement to see her teacher as she was fuming with DD on Friday after school, need to get to the bottom of whatever it is and try and nip it in the bud. DD's have been to see Santa with the out-laws this afternoon, so OH has wrapped all their pressies whilst watching american footy on video and I have put up the second Xmas tree in the porch.
Think I have memory problems, I sent OH up to the loft to search for Xmas lights as I can remember getting up the ladder and putting them there, turns out they were in the kitchen all along..........He wasn't a happy bunny. He is going to be 40 on Xmas Day, I think I will have to stop pulling his leg about old age when I'm three years younger than him and my memory is going already.
Right I'm off to visit pigsback now.

Have just been to Wales and back today to see my sister and present swap! I know posting would be cheaper but it was so nice to see her and her family. Just had time for lunch and a walk down to the beach to blow the cobwebs away and it was time to come home again. Driving conditions were horrendous in the fog though.

Did manage to get a bargain at the service station on the way there though! ;) A lovely warm coat (snorkal style) for £12 so very pleased.

Hope everyone ok. Anacasta I have pm'd you, hope you are ok!

    Morning All,

It seems that Saturday night 7pm bedtime for the kids was a one off, its now the very early hours of Sunday and DS (2) is still up and raring to go

Oh well, at least the laundry is done! BM on timer for the morning too.

Might make myself a cocoa and read some more of my book while its quiet. All DS wants to do is hold my hand while he sucks his thumb to get off to sleep - BLESS.

Hope you all had a good nights sleep,

    Chat later,
    Al.

    Eh...morning. (Although I haven't been to bed yet ;))

I need to go to sleep but I've just read the Smirnoff text thread and I'm sitting here trying to win a hat for my OH.

Free stocking filler you see. :)

    kiwichick,

I remember those days well........enjoy (probably not the right word) but they don't last long. My youngest aged 5 doesn't want to hold my hand walking into school now. :(

I've been busy working all weekend but all the patients are now tucked up in bed. Finally got home at 9.30pm, organised all the uniforms and schoolbags and I'm now chilling with a glass of wine. Mr Pink has offered to do the school run tomorrow to give me a lie in.........needless to say he didn't need to ask twice.:D

I hope everyone has a good day!

Can't believe that I am still up to reply to this thread so early! :snow_laug I really, really must log off and go to bed! Have loads to do as I still haven't written out cards let alone sent them. Plan to finish off my knitted stockings by adding sparkly sequins and beads for "Bling" and will then fill them with treats. They are only little so shouldn't take much!

    Morning everyone

Like everyone so far I haven't been to bed yet. I've been up attempting to finish my Psychology essay. It's not so difficult, but trying to find reference material and quotes is v.time consuming, then of course putting it into a logical order isn't the fastest exercise either. It's nearly done now, I'll type it up at work tomorrow (naughty me) when my boss in on her break or at lunch. The course I am doing is an access course - basically equivalent to three A levels but squashed into one year. It's v.intense! I am hoping to go to university next year, but as I said before perhaps I'm not cut out for it as my head seems to go to pot as soon as an assignment is handed out.

My little kitty Tabitha is v.v.ill at the minute, and I think that she has very little time with me left. It's heart breaking to see her go downhill so fast. I know I have to do the right thing but I really do not want to. She'll be the third kitty I lose this year - my three angel kitties from England and who moved back to Ireland with me will all be gone.

It's time for bed...I really hope I don't wake up at 4.30 am like I normally do.

All the best, have a wonderful Monday everyone.

    Morning...

Urgh, Monday. 3 weeks doing 6 day weeks is leaving me exhausted and I really need some more time off. Oh well, im hoping that Ill find out if my holiday ive booked for next week is allowed today, seems the management cant be bothered to tell us in a timely fashion. I really want to spend that time off looking for a new job because I cant keep doing all the weekends just to make uo my wages to something even half respectable.

Anyway, its still really dark here and im not relishing the thought of leaving the house as its raining too! At least I will finally get the table today and I get paid on friday too, and im not working Saturday. Hopefully ill get the chance to do the xmas shopping then. I should get my work vouchers and xmas lights this week too, that would be a nice little bonus.

Went to Bath xmas market yesterday and that was quite fun, the boyf had some of the mulled wine and didnt really enjoy it, but drank it anyway as it was so cold there. I got myself one of those xmas flowers, I cant remember what they are called though. (the green and red leaf thing)

On that note id better dash, ive still got to Iron my trousers as i couldnt be bothered to do it yesterday.

Hope everyone has a lovely day.

    Jo xx
