  • Why is it that the confused can make the unconfused confused too :confused::confused::confused:

    Ordered 2 cases of 12 = £48 for delivery yesterday
    Had the phone call Wednesday evening to say it was out of stock and so order had been cancelled, but when they were back in stock I could reorder at the higher price and then I could phone to tell them that I had missed out on this special offer at which point they would refund the difference.
    OK so far I thought :T

    Today had the E-Mail others have posted WHAAAAAAAT? :eek:

    I don't know if I would or would not have been disappointed - as I didn't get any. I was told it was a special offer and E-Mail says error :confused: and surely they haven't taken money out of my account as they did not deliver anything!!!!!!

    Now where do I go from here?

    As if I won't be stressed out enough with the run up to Christmas and I really need a glass of wine right now ;)

    I think they have told so many lies etc that they don't know what they are doing anymore. Talk about digging a hole!

    Anyway, i'm on my way to phone them, i've now calmed down after being overcharged with 2 new front tyres! :mad:

    Did you ring them about it??? Did you not get an email today??? Godders didn't do anything and never received a call, so he rang them today after the store rang to say they weren't coming last night..............and he's supposed to now be receiving 6 bottles @ £12.


    My CS woman has reordered my order and am supposed to be receiving it on the 8th now, BUT have been charged double AND the del. charge in my confirmation email. So after receiving 3 calls from them today, I rang them to speak to them a 4th time and query the confirmation, and it's on the screen that I WILL be refunded half plus the del. charge too! Phew...............roll next Thursday!!! :rolleyes:

    The 2 girls I spoke to today are absolutely exasperated with it themselves.............I did feel sorry for the one I spoke to 3 times today!! icon11.gif

    LOL one of the girls called it a special offer then corrected herself and called it a mistake! icon12.gif If you think about it, they TOO must be getting confused as are the local stores themselves!!

    I just go the e-mail offering £12 refund - but I did not get any wine so should not have paid anything:confused:

    Sent them an e mail back stating this.

    Really confused now.

    Just checked my account on line and I still have the original order marked cancelled and now I have the new order for 12 bottles shown on line.

    I got the £12 refund email and my wine is not supposed to come till tomorrow. I also used a 1000 point code for purchasing 12 bottles of wine, so rang customer services to ask if this was still going to be honoured since I would now only be getting six bottles. The guy on the end of the phone didn't have a clue what I was talking about and in the end said he'd pass me on to another department, when surprise surprise I was put through to a recorded message saying that due to unforeseen circumstances Tesco were unable to take my call at the moment and would I please try again later. I don't really want six bottles for £17 ( including the delivery) but would take them if I got the extra points, but at the moment I don't know if a) I'll get the points or b) if I'll even get the wine! ( My account on line only says the order has been cancelled, says nothing about reordering or anything ). I think if I had been Tesco I would have honoured all the original orders ( drop in the ocean to them financially) rather than have all this palaver! Must be costing them a fortune in customer service operator wages!

    Arrrgggh, I'm bricking it now. I've got the same e-mail, had the same cancellation call and my wine was supposed to be delivered tonight. I am now going out and my eldest is babysitting!! I hope she doesn't sign for anything she shouldn't!!

    And I used a 1000 code for ordering 12 bottles. I am currently not amused with Tesco :(
