tesco.com, Wines of the Loire mixed case quantity mistake [CLOSED]

I've just got one of those!!!!

And I'm sat here with a case of 12 that's so far cost me £75.

These people are utterly clueless.

Got the same email despite having the cancellation email and telephone call. AND the delivery date has passed. So what now? What a shambles. Oh what a web we weave..........................

I had my order cancelled but just got the same email. Does this mean they are giving me £12?

Looks like it. I've just got the same email. No wine, but an early Christmas present from Mr T. I think I'll spend it in Sainsbury's.

OK I've jsut had the same email, no money has been debited from my account as of yet as the order was cancelled.

I am going to phone them and ask for the case of 6 for £12, is this still a good deal as i suspect it is?

Well I've just received this email:

Dear Customer,

You have recently ordered a 'Wines of the Loire Mixed Case'
from Tesco.com.

Unfortunately there was an error on the website stating that
the case consisted of 12 bottles when it is in fact made up
of 6 bottles.

We understand that you may be disappointed to receive the
case of 6 at the price of 24.00 GBP which you have paid for,
so we are in the process of refunding half of the value
of the case you have ordered - 12.00 GBP - back to your
account.

Regrettably we are not able to supply further cases as it
is a limited edition case of which further stock is not
available.

If this is unsatisfactory you are still able to return the
wine for a full refund. Should you wish to do this or if
you have any further questions, please call 08457 225533.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

So we have all got same email then? We are still waiting on delivery today 1-3pm that didn't arrive despite driver calling for address confirmation. Phoned store and a manager is meant to be bringing it out as van running late . Dunno what we will get if any and how much we will be charged but will be calling the number given to check once wne here

I asked if they would make up my order with cases of 6 instead of 12 and initially they said yes, but a manager overrrode that saying no as it was a technical error in the first place :mad:

Yes, I have also had the same e-mail, I think it is a very good result and will save a lot of aggro if it turns up. OK it is only 6 bottles - but again they are only £2.00 each so it is a bargain price and dare I say it, not too bad a compromise, no?
