tesco.com, Wines of the Loire mixed case quantity mistake [CLOSED]

Debjay. I asked the driver to wait whilst I rang CS. The first person I spoke to cut me off. The second one was more helpful, although couldn't find the order reference on the receipt. Gave her the order ref from my e-mailed confirmation and she then said that I should only have been charged £24, but she doesn't have the access to check how much was taken from my card (I smelt BS at this point). She said her TL (and gave me his name) would ring me after 2:30 this afternoon to advise how much has been taken.

Checked my online bank account this morning and £75 is reserved, so they have clearly billed me £75. Had a look on the box this morning, and the product code is 5374728, which shows up on their website at £75.

The two bottles we got through last night were very pleasant though!

Looks like our wine is coming from local store as they called re delivery address. I think as I have proof that I only agreed £48 for 24 bottles of wine I cant be charged more so think you will be ok though I am going for r & r if overcharged. Let me know how phone call goes later................

My argument will be based on the proof that I only agreed to pay £24 for a case of wine called 'Wines Of The Loire' (my e-mail confirmation and screengrab, if you want a copy of the screenshot, let me know). That's what my receipt says was delivered, and it has never been advertised at £75 as far as I can tell (there's a link on the homepage to a box of 6 at £24).

If they say they delivered a different box, then my argument will shift to the 'If the wines are out of stock, we will replace with a wine of equal or greater value'.

Then there's the mention of trading standards etc.....

They told me on the phone that NONE of this wine is delivered from the local store, it all comes from a central warehouse. Unless of course they're lying?
