Just rejected a case of wine from my Tesco delivery driver....................12 bottles of WOL, and they've billed me £75!!!!!!!
They are ringing me back after 2pm today, she did say that she would try and get it delivered for £24, but not epecting that at all..................totally expecting some more BS, but hopefully I'll get to keep the 80 clubcard points the £75 spend gave me..................AND perhaps a little compensation for all the lying and messing around, OH and the 0845 call to their CS last night!!!Honorary Northern Bird bestowed by AnselmI'm a Board Guide and volunteer to help get your forum questions answered and keep the forum running smoothly on Special Occasions, Green/Ethical, Motoring/Overseas/UK Travel & Flood boards, it's not part of my role to deal with reportable posts. debjay, I see you are in Devon, like me. Is it Exeter who deliver to you? Paul from there phoned me yesterday to say it was out of stock. I just can't believe the number of lies that Tesco have told over this. If they do have the wine after all, that will be another one. Hope you get yours, though.0

LOL shame they can't revert to the stores if they are out of stock in their 'central warehouse', Godders found 4 out of the 6 bottles on sale in his local store!! :rolleyes:Honorary Northern Bird bestowed by AnselmI'm a Board Guide and volunteer to help get your forum questions answered and keep the forum running smoothly on Special Occasions, Green/Ethical, Motoring/Overseas/UK Travel & Flood boards, it's not part of my role to deal with reportable posts. Just off the phone to my local store, ( Head office say its their problem!)
Their excuse is .............. The lorry broke down and didnt arrive till 11.30pm last night!
I was due to have mine delivered yesterday morning.
Anyway have quoted what they said on the website about replacing out of stock mixed cases with equal or greater value and they are going to call me back when they have checked their stock!
Fingers crossed but I wont hold my breath just yet0 -

Hmmmm - I eventually got a call from the local store (I asked her where she was) who said that the "Central Warehouse" had not shipped anything to them for my order so there was nothing for them to deliver locally. (I think the web site does mention these wine orders are dealt with centrally).
However - the reason there was nothing on the lorry was because they cancelled it two days previously - so why was the store still expecting to deliver anything, and why didn't customer services call me before???
And why would the head office point you in the direction of the local store if all the goods are shipped centrally?0 -
Well thats it just been confirmed by the central wine warehouse that it was a technical error on the website!
They will not honour the orders apparently, despite them having the stock in cases of 6 NOT 12 as advertised :mad:0 -
Just received this e-mail from Tesco having already cancelled my order and having received a phonecall to say it was out of stock!!!!
Unfortunately there was an error on the website stating that
the case consisted of 12 bottles when it is in fact made up
of 6 bottles.
We understand that you may be disappointed to receive the
case of 6 at the price of 24.00 GBP which you have paid for,
so we are in the process of refunding half of the value
of the case you have ordered - 12.00 GBP - back to your
account.
Regrettably we are not able to supply further cases as it
is a limited edition case of which further stock is not
available.
If this is unsatisfactory you are still able to return the
wine for a full refund. Should you wish to do this or if
you have any further questions, please call 08457 225533.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Best wishes,
Tesco Customer Service
