New Servers

Hi folks and welcome to the new servers. As with any new technology, there are likely to be bugs and performance issues for a little while, maybe even a few weeks.

Please bear with us as we do performance testing and tweaking to try and improve the service for both dial-up and broadband users.

If you find any errors, bugs or go through any particularly slow patches, please take the time to post them here and MSE Neil and I will look into them. It would really help us to know if you're on broadband or dial-up so please include that.

This is supposed to be page 18 of a thread but it just leads to the reply box.


Also, I'm finding the pages 'hang' for a couple of seconds before they start loading and then the formatting aspect loads slowly. Once the frames etc are up then the rest follows quickly, but it's definately annoying and seems worse than old site for me. Don't understand why if the peeps above are saying it's fast.

Couple of times the pages have loaded with no formatting at all but I've just tried them again and they loaded ok second time (but with the 'hang' first).

Am I the only one finding it worse? Now there are a few more peeps on it's hanging for even longer than before.

Should add, I'm on a 2 meg bb connection, speed tests done are as they should be and computer is virus checked and cache cleared etc.

Don't have this issue on any other site (including other forums).

If you use the arrow in the top right corner of the Orange box at the top of the page to collapse it - the effect is not persistent and the boc reappears full size.

The Most thanked users at the front end is missing...

Seems very fast for me, mind you some people could experience problems
due to browser settings and what was browsed lastnight whilst not
on this site......

Try https://www.ccleaner.com do a clean then come back to the site
so your browser's cache is starting off a fresh.
