  • Why wait? Don't their t&c say lose one lose all claims? If they haven't paid and you successfully sue you'd recover all the money in one go. Although I agree ALL these companies are now very dishonest it is still possible to make a success of totally free deals. But you definitely chose one of the worse companies! If you ever do consider another cashback deal, do a LOT of research first next time. I currently have 9 totally free contracts and have got many more for friends and family - we have never lost a single claim, but you really now have to know more than ever before exactly what you're doing.

They have 45 days to pay the third claim. Therefore, I can't start legal proceedings for this payment yet, can I, even though they haven't paid the previous two?

I was thinking it would save a separate claim.....or am I wrong and I can start proceedings now?

Good luck with your continued success, though. They all deserve to be taken for every penny possible.
  • Err.... if they ain't paid claim ONE then THAT must be long overdue????? My success isn't with this place; I looked at all the main sources for a year before I got my first deal and learnt a great many things about them. Also read a lot on here and other sources. I only go (and especially take others) to places and deals I am confident in with a fall-back position, although nothing is risk free. There are three companies I wouldn't touch with a barge poll - and this is one of them. However, I almost chose them for my first deal because they were about the only company to actually answer my email asking questions beforehand. Then again, I went with another company where I'd read some frightening feedback initially. There is a LOT more to all this than just picking an eye-popping deal.

IF their t&c SAY lose one claim, lose them all then take them for claim one BUT claim ALL the cashback in one go. There are MANY threads on here on various companies - including this one - about that and an awful lot more!
  • Who are the other 2?

At least I've got some good news. My cc company have called in my favour and are going to claw the money back
  • Yep mobilejunkie, claim 1 is 6 months overdue!

I have read a lot about this company and others - it seems as though many of them stall until they have to pay up. But you are right - this one seems to be the worst.

I will have to take the legal route and see what happens.
  • The other two are The Mobile Outlet and Mobile Rainbow. However, NONE of the internet cashback companies are honest any more and unless you really know what you're doing with ANY of these places I would stay away. Leave it to the "professions" - I bet they hate us!

Hey just wondered if anyone could help me whether or not i could have a case to go to the small claims court or not.
I bought my phone back at the end of may last year on a £30 a month contract with O2 from phones 2udirect and what I believed to me my sixth month bill I sent off on the 10th of November. From that time while I was worried about the progress of my cashback so I continued to ring them in the 2/3 weeks following me sending the letter. I then recieved a letter saying it was a bill to early and my cashback claim was rejected and convieniently it was sent on the 21st of december, exactly the alloted time they allowfor you to send the correct bill. I tried to contact them when there was enough time for me to send the right one... but as many have you also found there seems to be no way to get in contact with them. I have emailed them again ask why they took so long sending the letter to me (approx 6 weeks) and they sent me the same thing as the letter. What should I do next? Is it worth going to the small claims court?

    Thanks

I had the same problem with phones 2 u & can tell u exactly what to do.
Phone O2's high level complaints team on 0845 330 0684 & tell them the problem in claiming your cashback (which they are already aware of). They sorted both my claims for me. It may take a while but keep on at them until you get payment from phones 2 u direct. Good Luck.

I wonder if any of you can help.

About 6 months ago my wife signed up to Three through Phones 2U direct. They were offering 100% cashback, reclaimable at 3 times throughout the 12 month contract.

She has just submitted her first claim and has received a letter stating that they are unable to process the claim as 'the bill dated 01/04/07 is incomplete'.

However, she has a telephone bill that shows that she was on the phone to them for nearly 10 minutes and someone confirmed that everything she was sending them was correct. Unfortunately she doesn't have their name.

I know that there are risks with these cashback claims and that you have to get everything right as they can reject the claim (I've used Dialaphone in the past and they've been excellent).

Has anyone else had problems with them (from other forums it would appear that this is a regular cause for complaints) and if you have what have you done to get your money back? She has informed them that she will be contacting Ofcom and trading standars and I was wondering if there was anyone else who could help.

    Many thanks.

I had the same problem with phones 2 u direct & can tell u exactly what to do.
Phone your service provider & tell them the problem in claiming your cashback. Although the cashback deal was not with them, they should not be happy at the way their customers are being treated & insist that they contact phones 2 U to sort it out.
O2's high level complaints team is tel 0845 330 0684. They sorted both my claims for me. It took a while but I keep on at them until I got payment from phones 2 u direct.
    Good Luck
