Phoned Sky last night to 'cancel' was offered £15 sky+ including installation, they are currently not running any half price discounts so will be waiting a week before calling them again.

I had to cancel and was without sky for about 2 weeks. Then they sent a half price letter deal.

No I have been offered it but it would mess up cancelling down. This seems the only way to get offers

Just talked to Sky on 01506-421722 to cancel my Sky TV subscription. That guy on the phone offered me free weekend calls and free broadband with 2MB speed. To which I declined his offer since it was not very attractive. So then he got ready to cancel my Sky TV.

Since I have given him 30 days notice, I will wait and see if Sky sales guys come back to me with any offer as some members have reported here in this forum.

I didn't get any call from Sky ever since I gave them 30 days notice for cancellation on 10th March. So just called up Sky yesterday as my disconnection date (11th April) was coming nearer, told them that I have changed my mind and I wanted to stay with Sky and asked them to cancel the 30 days notice given to them on 10th March.

The guy on the phone was more than happy to accept my instructions. He then offerred me a deal proposing that Sky will give me a Sky+ box for free but I will have to stay with Sky for 12 months. I was pleased to hear about this deal. The only glitch was a 12 months contract. But knowing that something is better than nothing, I accepted the offer. He told me that the Sky engineer would contact us for the installation date.

All in all, I am happy since had I not called Sky to cancel my subscription, I would have been continuing using my standard Sky box. :T

So far most of these posts are relating to getting more from your current deals with Sky/Virgin Media

Can anyone provide some information on the best deals for someone signing up for a NEW subscription with Virgin Media???

I am about to embark on negotiations (haggling) with Virgin Media and want to know what people have received in terms of extra's and better packages with their call centre staff.

Am currently with TalkTalk for phone and broadband and I'm wanting to get phone, broadband and TV services with Virgin Media.

    help!!!!!

I got rid of sky in December of last year. I had the letter about the half price come back deal but I got to see it only after the expiry date of 29th of March. I am interested in returning to sky as I have a skyHD box sitting gathering dust so it seems senseless to pay nearly £300 for a humax hd pvr box.

The other thing is, I am about to move into my girlfriends flat. So are there any come back deals on at the moment or are there better deals available for new customers (my girlfriend)?

Any help would be much appreciated.
  • i called to reduce my package last night and they offered me 20% off for 6 months, not bad for 2 mins work.
  • how about setting up a new thread? this is a bit cumbersome
