just called sky to cancel, and got offered the sky plus box and installuation for £45, plus multi room for £4.80 for six months, is that a good deal ??
only problem is I need to pay for it over the phone, and as I don't hold a debit/credit card its impossible, I pay my bill to sky DD and asked why they can't just add it to the next payment but they won't anyone know why ?0 -

Wondered if anyone can help me here.....???
We already have Sky plus in the main room , and at present subscribe to all channels (on an offer for 3 mths)
We also have sky multi room upstairs which we pay monthly for.
We are now wanting to have sky plus upstairs aswell. What is the cheapest way to do this?
Should we barter for HD in the main room and move the plus box upstairs, or just get plus fitted upstairs????0 -

For those of you wanting to reduce Sky costs further, don't assume that once you have had your start up discounts then that's it. We got SKY via an mse link 18 months ago, it was half price for 12 months via a 3rd party.
As of last October I tried to cancel but they offered me half price again until Jan 19th, this meant 15 out of the 18 months we'd had the full package for half price. When I phoned to cancel in Jan they wouldn't give me any further offers at the time, so it was switched off last week.
Lo and behold we got 2 calls yesterday and this morning, trying to tempt me back with 6 months half price for the full package, we've declined on the grounds of 'budget restraints at home' the lady offered a reduced package, I refused saying it would be the full package or nothing, and the lady intimated that they may get back with a further cut.
Long story short, go through with the cancellation, see it through, then wait for the call.
Apologies if this has been posted before.0 -
Hiya
I actually went through with cancellling my Sky back in dec, after they were not budging in offering me any deals (10 yrs+ customer, full package & extra room). Anyway Ive not had Sky since Jan 19th, and not particularly missing it
But today got a call offering me full package for £23 pm for 6m - no tie ins..... So yeah as per previous poster go through with your canc and you will get an offer in soon
I did sign back up as hubby was missing his footie
LA
PS - Has anyone got cut price offers from Setanta as an existing customer?0 -
I RANG UP BT AS MY CONTRACT HAD COME TO AN END.
I WAS PAYING £20.54 PER MONTH FOR OPTION 2 AND I TOLD THEM I WAS THINKING OF SWITCHING TO A CHEAPER SUPPLIER.
I WAS OFFERED THE SAME BROADBAND PACKAGE FOR £13.20 A MONTH FOR 12 MONTHS AND SHE ALSO SAID SHE WOULD THROW IN THE NEW STYLE BT HOME HUB FOR ME AS IT IS BETTER THAN THE ONE I HAVE AT THE MOMENT.
SO NOT ONLY DO I SAVE AROUND £90 OVER THE 12 MONTH CONTRACT BUT I ALSO GET A BRAND SPANKING NEW HOME HUB AND STILL GET ALL THE PERKS LIKE FREE MACAFEE SERCURITY :jThis thread is specifically to discuss the content of theDigital TV Cost Cutting Article

Been with Sky for a year and on £43 package along with extra multiroom. Just phoned up and all they would offer is 25% of for 6 months which would out at about £10.75/ month. Would after 12 months discount. Do you think if I pushed them more they would offer a bit more? Want to get HD and would probably sign up again for another year if got 25% for the year as that would fund the HD monthly fee
Also whats the best no. to use? Just called the number at the top of Sky's page for existing customers and eventually choose cancel option, and once advisor answered requested to be put through to the turnaround dept. He said you have already reached that department. Not sure if I believed him but as he offered the deals I guess he must have been telling the truth???0 -
yes but you need a HD sub0
