You will be lucky to get any deals in Aug/Sep as, other than Christmas, it is their best time of the year due to the start of the new football season.

You should have gone through to the downgrade department, not cancellations.
    C'mon you Canaries!!

Don't ring them - go and see the 'Sky guys' in the shopping precincts... they seem to have better deals than online or telesales.;)

:iloveyou: I wanted the 'I'm With Stupid' board but this will have to do.

Went into town at lunchtime on the back of this and have got an upgrade to Sky + as an existing customer for £49 all in.

    Many thanks, great idea.

    Hi,

Any new Sky customers that need a new Bt line and want Sky remember:

Sky say they will pay a full subsidy of the £125 cost of getting a new BT line installed.

we have sky plus (out of contract now) in my name. Is it possible for me to cancel this and set it up in my wifes name, thus getting the benefits of a new customer?

    cheers

As it would be their wife, Sky would know it's the same family, probably would be using same bank account too, Sky will simply say you've already had one offer.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!
(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)

he would be fine just say your partner has moved out and you want it in your name it will work

I think you are giving sky staff to much credit 3/4 of them dont speak very good english and the rest dont care because they have targets to hit and it goes of the name not your bank details

just try it only way to know for sure

i called up to see if i could get a sky plus box. i requested my contract be cancelled. on furthur enquiry as to why i wanted to cancel, i was armed with - the credit squeeze, freesat, ever increasing sky subscription charges, not using sky often etc etc. I was always polite and used a bit of humour. To cut a long story short i got a free sky plus box and reduced my monthe subscription to 22 pounds for 3 months! thank u everyone at moneysaving expert.
