If you have broadband then just use that to watch football. You'll have to put put with American studio commentators, but the feed will be from Sky / Sentana.
Look at:

which should nod you in the right direction.
The picture qaulity is 'average' but it's certainly better than nothing (or walking to the pub on a wet day!).0 -
Like every-one else, I read all about calling and haggling with Virgin for a better deal- was paying £39.50 a month for M broadband, L TV and telephone package which only gave me free weekend calls. Told them about Talk Talks offer of £16 for phone and broadband-and they reduced my plan to £30 a month to include free landline calls all day everyday!!! Had to be tied into a 12 month contract but I am more than happy to do that......Many thanks for all the tips.:j0

We called up about a month ago as a new customer, and negotiated:
- Telephone XL (unlimited calls all day, every day)
- TV M
- Broadband XL (20mb speed!!)
Usually this package costs £67.95 a month, but we haggled until they gave it us for £27! Took 5 phone calls before we got the deal we wanted!
We also asked them to waive the normal installation fee of £25 (which they did), and to install it at a weekend.
A month later, we got our first bill, and it was wrong. Phoned up to complain, and after being transferred 7 times, they've corrected the bill, and are giving us the package for £25 instead for the next 5 months, reverting to £27 a month for the rest of the year!

Well i currently have a sky plus box and the 2 mix and sports was paying £35 have a box upstairs which just has there free to view channels. I rang up and asked if they would give me multiroom for £40 total as a friend had been given this package. Point blank refused, saying to many people were logging onto sites on the internet to get deals lol. So i've decided to drop all my sports as i think the footie is totally overrated so would rather watch match of the day and have a cheap sentana sports deal. The only thing i liked on sky was soccer saturday with jeff stelling. So i'd rather give them 20 quid less a month as i'm now paying £15. To be honest if it wasn't for the other half who loves lost greys anatomy 24 etc i'd kick sky completely in to touch.0

Hi,
I am with Virgin, just moved so took out new deal with them, phone, tv and bband, its costing about £67 per month, we opted to buy the V+ box for £150, but I thought we still would be entitled to the digi box for upstairs, does anyone know if this is the case!!!
thanks
