I want to see football this year however should I pay an extra £19 pm and get Sky Sports, should I subscribe to Setanta through Sky £9.99 pm or go the whole hog keep the Sky basic channels and add Bt Vision Free Of Charge and subscribe to their games with a view to ditching Sky at a later date. Can you have both Sky & BT Vision through your tv? With BT Vision deal currently it would be cheaper and also add more choice I think. Are Sky only channel showing Carling Cup? What does anyone think of my predicament?

I am wanting to get the V+ box as im goin on holiday for a few weeks has anyone recently managed to get any good deals on this.

I currently pay £58 as i negotiated a loyalty discount of about £22 per month for ever.

Correct, but Freeview and Freesat from Sky are not the same. E4 is not FTA on satellite and therefore not on Freesat from Sky.

Currently with virgin for phone and broadband and have been for some time, were also for TV but they didn't have digital where we live so went with sky when we moved. Have been with virgin for about 3 years now and we're considering leaving sky to go with virgin.. for the right price anyway! We are currently on a deal because of problems we had with virgin (not a huge one just phone and 4mb broadband for £17.75 per month) and top package with sky (43.50) so do you think we could wangle a decent long term/lifetime saving from virgin to go back to them for this package:

Personally i'd like the box cheaper (or free) and to pay no more than £50 for the package to make it worthwhile changing (as we'd be losing sky one etc and we already have a sky+ box so we don't want to fork out again for another box like that really). Do you think we'd be able to do this?

I have been on a minimum package with SKY for the last couple of months, but now want SKY Sports for the footy season, does anyone know if they are offering deals and does anyone have a current freephone number, the one I used last is now blocked. Thanks for all replies. Cannot get their BB, phone deal as we are not in one of their areas.

Evening all! Phoned sky about 5 minutes ago stating that as i was coming to the end of my contract and didn't feel i was getting value for money, i was going to cancel. i only have the very basic package and am considering switching to freeview. I was told that they do not offer any special deals and have not done so for the last 12 months and effectivley said 'go ahead and cancel' . Any advice? All comments gratefully received!
