in a month or so when my origional sky contract ends i want to downgrade it to the min package.we have sky+ and multi room. if i cancel multi room pack will the existing box still recieve the basic free channels?as ot's now free i will still keep sky+ but will this still work on the minimum package?and has anyone any advice on taking sky up on the extended warrenty, they are currently phoning me up every couple of days to try and sell it.if i do take it up and cancel the multi room i presume that won't be covered.only reason i am thinking of taking their warrenty up is my sis system went wrong a few wks ago and it cost her a fortune to put right(out of warrenty)
do you know you don't have to wait till your contract ends before downgrading i'm sure you can change your contract every 30 days if you want.0 -
:T HI ALL GOT THIS FROM HOT UK DEALS HOPE IT HELPS HAVE NOT TRYED AS HAVE A SKY+ BUT WILL TRY TO GET A SOME KIND OF DEAL !!
Sky are removing the Sky+ charge from 1st July.
If like me you subscribe to a couple of premium channels but dont really watch them to save the £10 a month fee you can now downgrade and save some money.
I will be going down from £32 a month to £21
If you havent got Sky+ just grab a cheap box off Eaby for around £50, add a Quad LNB for around £15, and add an extra cable and you can easily set yourself up for under £100
EDIT: If you are out of contract ring up and threaten to cancel, Sky are now giving out free Sky+ boxes, you need to speak to the cancelations department as these are the only people who can offer you this deal !0 -

Are there any deals for people who want to go back to sky?
I cancelled mine a few months ago and went to freeview, but I'm now missing a lot of the progs we were able to get. Cable isn't an option as it's not available in my area.
Any suggestions??0 -

hi all,
just phoned sky 5 mins ago & threatened to cancel (even though i had no intention of) telling them i never watch anything any more cos i have a new job working nights.
immediately they offered me sky+ for £49 + free installation. its being fitted next week.
this is the 4th time i had phoned them trying to get a deal on sky+ but they wouldnt budge but as soon as i threatened to cancel that was it.

If you call up and say you're a National Trust Member you get offered half price Sky+ and half price installation. I just did it now, and I didn't even get asked for my membership number! Others have though, so bear that in mind...0

Forgive me if this is a stupid question.
I have subscribed to sky now for the last 7 years on their full package, currently £43.50 per month which i beleived until recently included a £10 per month charge for the sky+ service which i have. As i understand it the £10 monthly charge has been droped, does this mean my monthly subscription will be dropping down to £34.50 per month?
Also noticed in a recent post that somebody seemed to have got a 12 month half price deal via the simply digital website? i have looked and can find no reference to it? anybody help on this?0
