Digital TV Cost Cutting Article - Discuss What You've Been Offered

Unaware to me, they actually spy on quite a few forums. They also checked my user account to see the activity that was being done on it.
As there was no customer letters to go with what I was doing, which there normally is requesting changes etc, they knew I was doing this on the side if you like.
Anyway, their loss not mine!!
Sad thing is, I really did like that job :j0 -
thanks for explaining kerry and shame you couldn't help me.
i can't really see what you did wrong though to be honest, sky do offer deals/discounts to people, you were just selecting the people they went to!!
i've suspected they spy on this type of internet advice so they can try to counteract it.0 -
What is the best way forward for the following scenario.
We are having to move to rented house while our flood damaged house is repaired. This house has sky but not Sky+ like we have. Been told we need another cable and LNB adaptor for the dish which is around £100 to have done then we can take our box etc with us. What about simply requesting a move from Sky. Will they then upgrade the dish/cables etc for us within the moving fee and we carry on with our sub as normal?
Also, is the freephone number still working??0 -
Why phone sky when you can e mail them from their site they will phone you.

yeah right!!!
already tried that.....they wouldn't offer a thing.
rang them tonight....said they don't do deals anymore...stopped in december
all they would offer was 10% off for 3 month..........wow!!!!!! aren't they so generous.....i declined.0 -
Thanks Photome, I've now cancelled sky and will give freesat a go when sky switches off it's channels in August.
They did offer me Sky+ for £49 and no installation, but I was only going to stay if they offered it for free. I've been on their top package for 7 years, so consider that it's the least they can do to repay my loyalty.
I'm actually quite looking forward to a sky-free life for a bit, and should have some more spending money each month now as well!0
