Just phoned up and said i wish to cancel because i work all hours of the day that vary week to week and so never get to see the shows i want. and he asked if i'd ever considered sky plus (i said, ooh what's that?), so i'm getting a refurbed box, free installation and no monthly charge (well, a £20 credit to take us until july) and then free!

I think I'll phone again and cancel as I was told I had to take two premium options for 12 months to get Sky+ subscription waived.

    Hi guys

can i ask you all to do a favour.

I know everybody wants deals, but KerryM has alot to go through - so would it be okay, if everybody who wants a deal, but has not asked, wait just now, so KerryM can get through the backlog she has to deal with, and THEN, once she has completed that, can deal with the next batch?

After all, she is doing this, for free, out of the goodnesso f her heart - so lets help her help us, by not hounding her, or pestering her for deals, and when she has finished the backlog, she can help more people :)

Hope that does not sound rude, but she can do without request after request :) (plus more requests, more chance she might forget about you lol)

Kerry- you're doing a fantstic job for us all here, :)

Why do I keep getting silent calls from I looked it up on google and it seems to be sky. If they wanted to ring me wth an amazing offer thats ok but no one says anything it just goes dead. Is this really sky calling or is it some kind of scam?

I'm regstered with tps and for no silent calls, I wouldn't want to block them anyway if its genuine sky but not sure if it really is. I don't want to call it back though.

    Anyone else getting these calls?

It will work on a automatic dialler, so it takes a short time for the call to be passed to the next available poor bu**er stuck in his pen in the call centre. Have you tried waiting a few seconds before putting the handset down?
If not, they have a problem with their auto dialler probably.

I did wait quite a while really prob 30 secs or so. I'll wait a bit longer though next time just to see, thats if they call again

Just a thought, if you don't want to ring the number from your home phone to check that it really is Sky, why not try ringing it from a phone box then they can't trace you? If it really is them then you can always ring them from home later.

I witheld my number and rang it and it says 'This call was made to you by response handling limited on behalf of one of our clients that may provide a service to you or may benefit you'

Its ringing a number of times a day I'm registered with tps and with the silent calls one too. If they want to call why does it go dead
    Thanx

  • We've had the full Sky package for years incl Prem Plus but when American Idol has ended on ITV2 we are going to cancel as the £43 odd a month is too expensive.
    Any suggestions?
